Inter Hoping To Earn €130 Million From Sales Of Loaned-Out Players Including Mauro Icardi

Inter are looking to earn around €130 million by selling their loaned-out players, including Argentine striker Mauro Icardi, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are hoping that French side Paris Saint Germain decide to enact Icardi’s €70 million buy option in the summer, although that depends on the future of coach Thomas Tuchel, who would prefer not to keep the player. Bayern Munich are looking likely to sign Croatian midfielder Ivan Perisic permanently, which would earn the Milanese club €25 million.

Inter are hoping that they can strike a deal with Cagliari regarding Radja Nainggolan, the report continues. The Nerazzurri would give the Belgian to the Sardinian club to pay off €25 million of the Nicolo Barella deal, but should Cagliari decide not to sign him then Inter will look abroad.

Finally, the Nerazzurri are hoping to earn €18 million from the sale of Joao Mario to Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow, the report highlights, as well as earning €23-24 million for Austrian winger Valentino Lazaro, currently on loan at Newcastle. Inter could also save around €20 million should they sell Diego Godin in the summer, considering his €5 million yearly salary.

Inter To Offer A New Contract To Marcelo Brozovic As Strengthening Of Squad Continues

Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic will receive a new contract soon as the club look to strengthen the squad as much as possible ahead of next season, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the Croatian midfielder will receive a new contract until 2024, with a slight salary increase and a removal of his €60 million release clause. The Nerazzurri’s summer goals are to sign a defender, midfielder and two wingers, as well as one forward, depending on the situation of Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez.

One player Inter are following closely is Italian-Brazilian full back Emerson Palmieri, who doesn’t seem close to signing a new contract with Chelsea, the report continues. He would cost around €25 million. The Nerazzurri are still keen to sign Fiorentina talisman Federico Chiesa, but his high price may push the Milanese club away.

In the midfielder Inter have two ideas, the report highlights. The first is Fiorentina midfielder Gaetano Castrovilli, with the other being Bayern Munich’s Corentin Tolisso. In defense, the Nerazzurri expect to lose Diego Godin, and so are considering both Tottenham’s Jan Vertonghen and Hellas Verona starlet Marash Kumbulla.

Inter Face Competition From Valencia For Martinez Quarta

Inter are facing competition from Valencia for River Plate duo Lucas Martinez Quarta according to a report from Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

Inter have drawn no shortage of links to Martinez Quarta in particular recently with it understood that they are keen to bolster their defensive department, just like both Valencia are.

Martinez Quarta has a €22 million release clause in his current contract with the Superliga Argentina side but reports have suggested that River Plate could accept an offer in the region of €15-18 million for him.

Martinez Quarta is not the only central defender that Valencia are reportedly keeping an eye on with it also having been reported that they have Inter centre back Diego Godin on their radar.

Godin has struggled to adapt since his arrival at Inter on a free transfer which has led to suggestions that he could move on at the end of this season.

The report from TuttoMercatoWeb goes on to state that Inter and Roma are both keen on signing Martinez Quarta’s River Plate teammate Gonzalo Montiel.

Felipe Melo: “It Wasn’t Clear What de Boer Wanted At Inter, I Wanted To Play For Mourinho’s Inter”

In a long interview with Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport via social media platform Instagram, former Inter player Felipe Melo has opened up on what went wrong during Frank de Boer’s spell in charge of the club.

“He didn’t even speak Italian. He came and it wasn’t clear what he wanted,” the Brazilian explained in the interview which took place late last night.

“I tried to respect him, learn something from him and his staff but it was his choice not to take me to the games, I was a little down about this, I trained a lot. He then left and Pioli came in and I started playing immediately.

Melo then went on to reflect about the one season he spent under Roberto Mancini at Inter and if he has any regrets about the season.

“In that season we did not have the type of team capable of winning the title and after a few months we started to drop off. Despite this, I am proud of what I did. In Italy I had many good experiences.

“Mancini is a great friend and he is one of the greatest managers I have ever met. We won together at Galatasaray and he then took me to Inter which was a team I dream of playing for as a child.”

Melo then went on to reveal that he did not want to leave Fiorentina to join Juventus and instead wanted to join Jose Mourinho’s all conquering Nerazzurri side instead.

“I went to Juventus because they are one of the strongest teams in the world and you cannot say no but I wanted to go to Mourinho’s Inter but only Juventus paid my release clause whilst Inter offered €23 million.

“I am disappointed I never played under Mourinho. He had spoken about me many times and at one point he said I was one of the best in the world.”

Next Melo discussed what he makes of Inter and Serie A as a whole.

“Conte is a great manager, he showed it at Juventus too. He has revolutionised everything at Juventus and is now doing the same thing at Inter.

“Juventus will fight until the end, they are a very strong team. Now they also have Cristiano Ronaldo. Inter should’ve done better against Juventus, especially at home, at San Siro.”

The 36-year-old, who is now at Palmeiras in his native Brazil, spent 18 months with Inter between the middle of 2015 and start of 2017. He made a total of 38 appearances across all competitions for the club during that time, in which he scored one goal and provided a single assist too.
