Serie A Season Could Be Finished By Playing 3 Games A Week

Serie A bosses hope to be able to conclude the season by playing three games a week at night time according to a report from the online edition of Italian daily newspaper La Repubblica.

The Serie A season has been on hold for a few weeks now due to the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic and it remains unclear if the season will even resume.

Despite all the uncertainty, Lega Serie A and a number of other authoritative bodies are at work coming up with ways in which the remainder of the season could be concluded if it starts again.

The above idea, which would involve the matches being played behind closed doors, aside, the report goes on to state that Lega Serie A and the Italian football federation (FIGC) could just opt to end the season now.

No title would be handed out and two rather than three teams would go down to Serie B whilst two Serie B teams would come up.

The teams currently occupying the top four slots would be entered into the Champions League and then the teams in fifth, sixth and seventh would be entered into the Europa League.

Scout Who Discovered Inter’s Lautaro Martinez: “He Is A Very Complete Player Despite How Young He Is”

Fabio Radaelli, the scout who discovered Lautaro Martinez, has sang the praises of the now Inter striker in an interview with Spanish radio station Caden Ser show ‘Què t’hi juges’ on Thursday evening.

Radaelli was the one responsible for the highly rated 22-year-old ending up at Racing Club where he played at first team level for a few seasons before Inter snapped him up in a circa €20 million deal in the Summer of 2018.

Lautaro’s first season with Inter was rather difficult as he did not get as much playing time due to Mauro Icardi being with the club and Inter playing a one striker system but he has been almost ever present this season and has formed a lethal partnership with striker partner Romelu Lukaku.

“What would he give Barcelona? Mainly goals but he is a very strong player on a technical level, is good in both phases of play and is also good at heading the ball,” Radaelli said.

“He is a very complete player despite how young he is. He is a true number nine and will join Barcelona in place of Luis Suarez.

“Some players can play in other roles too but I do not see Lautaro as a player who will play in another position because at centre forward he scores a lot of goals. He is a player with a very important personality.”

This season he has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date in which he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists for his teammates.

Kumbulla Could Be Loaned Back To Hellas Verona If Inter Sign Him If Vertonghen Also Joins

If Inter sign Jan Vertonghen, it could affect what happens with Marash Kumbulla if they sign him too according to a report in today’s print edition of Veronese newspaper L’Arena.

Inter have been strongly linked with both defenders in recent weeks and months and the report claims that if Inter sign both players, Inter could well opt to loan Kumbulla back to Hellas Verona for the season so he can continue to have regular play time and continue his development.

When it comes to Vertonghen, Inter are looking to land him on a free transfer this Summer with his current contract with Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur set to expire in the coming months.

As for Kumbulla, multiple reports in the media have stated that Hellas Verona are looking to get between €25-30 million for him but other reports state Inter could offer Federico Dimarco and Eddie Salcedo as part of a deal to bring the cost down.

Inter Striker Lukaku: “Goals Are My Drug, Speaking Spanish Helped Me & Lautaro Martinez Understand One Another Immediately”

In an interview on social media platform Instagram with legendary Arsenal striker and current Montreal Impact manager Thierry Henry, Inter striker Romelu Lukaku has spoken on what scoring goals means to him.

“Goals are my drug, goals are the thing that I live for. Nowadays I also like providing assists. I am a bit older and my overall game has grown,” the 26-year-old Belgian national team striker explained.

“I still live for goals and this is the most important thing but it is not just about me, every day I learn about football. It can only do the team good if everyone feels important.”

Lukaku then went on to discuss the partnership which he has developed with Lautaro Martinez and how Inter manager Antonio Conte has helped out.

“Speaking Spanish has helped as he and I understood one another immediately. From the first day I explained to him how I like the ball played.

“Antonio Conte has also played an important role. He shows us images of the instances in which we should have made better choices. He is a demanding manager but that is okay.”

In conclusion he spoke on some of the idols he had in football when he was growing up.

“I was a fan of Ronaldo and Adriano. Football was completely different then, the game is now much more attacking. Scoring 15 goals per season back then was much more difficult. So what Ronaldo did with Inter was really incredible.”

Lukaku joined Inter in a club record €65 million transfer deal from Premier League club Manchester United this past Summer and his first season with Inter has been nothing short of spectacular.

The former Chelsea player, who has a contract with Inter until the end of the 2023/24 season, has scored 23 goals in 35 appearances across all competitions and he has also provided a handful of assists for his Nerazzurri teammates.

Inter Won’t Let Lautaro Martinez Go Unless His Release Clause Is Met

Inter will not let Lautaro Martinez depart the club unless a club pays his €111 million release clause according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

The 22-year-old has been courted by a number of clubs in recent weeks and months, namely by Barcelona who would instead prefer to do a player(s) plus cash deal.

The reigning Spanish champions have extended a contract offer of €10 million net to the former Racing Club player, an offer other interested clubs such as Chelsea and Manchester City as well as Inter are unable to compete with.

Inter do not want to let Lautaro depart the club but if his release clause is met they will use the money to fund moves for two big players with the report going on to state that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic are at the top of Inter’s wishlist in this regard.

Lautaro has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date this term in which he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists for his teammates.

The highly rated 22-year-old has drawn links to several European clubs in recent weeks and months including the Red Devils fellow Premier League club Everton.

Soteldo has certainly not hidden his desire to join Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side and this is now the second time he has professed his dream of playing for the 20 time English champions.

Inter Striker Lukaku: “I Live To Score Goals, I Miss Football But People’s Health Is The Most Important Thing Right Now”

In an interview with sponsor Puma, Inter striker Romelu Lukaku has spoken on what he has done whilst football has been on hold.

“What I miss most is competing with opponents, being in full stadiums and feeling the support from the fans. I am using this time to analyse my performances and indeed, more generally, everything I have done in the last six months. You can always improve in football,” he started the interview which was broadcast on the German brand’s Instagram profile earlier on today.

Lukaku proceeded to speak about helping his teammates out and gave an insight into all the hard work that is put in.

“I live to score goals but I also want to help my team and I must always be ready to help my teammates out. Personal statistics have little importance.

“When you’re in the box you have to be dynamic and attack the spaces at the right times. We train a lot, we watch videos every day with the aim of analysing our mistakes and to avoid re-committing them in the future.”

The Belgian national team forward then went on to reveal some of the players he looked up to whilst he was growing up, two of whom are former Inter players.

“I loved Adriano, who did great things whilst at Inter. My first memories of international football go back to the 1998 World Cup. At the time Il Fenomeno Ronaldo was above the rest. I also admired Thierry Henry and Didier Drogba.”

Lukaku concluded the interview by commenting on the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic and hit out at those in power for waiting for a player to test positive before deciding to suspend things.

“Health comes first. Why should we play if there are people in the world who are risking their lives. Why was it only necessary for a player to test positive in order for football to stop. It’s not normal.

“I will admit that I do miss football, but now the most important thing is people’s health. Everything else comes secondary to that.”

Lukaku joined Inter this past Summer from Premier League club Manchester United in what was a club record transfer for Inter.

This season he has scored 23 goals in 35 appearances across all competitions and he has also provided a handful of assists for teammates.
