A total of six Inter players have increased their transfer values due to their performances over the course of this season according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter Could Try Extend Sensi’s Loan Deal For A Further Season

Inter could ask Sassuolo if they can extend Stefano Sensi’s loan deal for another season rather than taking up the option to buy in the coming months according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

Sensi starred in the early part of the season for Inter but has struggled with injury for large parts of the campaign. Inter manager Antonio Conte wants to give Sensi another chance to impress given how his season has been disrupted.

There is understood to be a gentleman’s agreement between Inter and Sassuolo for Inter to pay the €27 million but given the good relations between the clubs Inter might be able to convince Sassuolo into extending the loan by a further season.

The report from the Rome based newspaper goes on to state that Inter have an interest in signing Sassuolo’s Manuel Locatelli but Fiorentina’s Gaetano Castrovilli remains Inter’s favourite for the midfield.

Inter Could Save €40m In Wages If Serie A Season Doesn’t Resume

The size of the wage cut that Inter players will have to take will be determined by whether or not the season will resume according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Serie A season has been on hold for a number of weeks now and it remains a mystery as to whether or not the season will even resume again given the severity of the situation.

Inter’s annual salary bill totals €150 million and the report states that if the season resumes, wages for the months of March and April will be affected.

If the season does not resume however, wages for March, April, May and June will be affected and Inter will ‘save’ some €40 million if this happens.

The report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to state that Inter want to finish the season but only wish to do so if there is zero risk of contagion.

Facundo Colidio: “I’d Like To Return To Inter In June”

In an interview with Argentine broadcaster TyC Sports, Facundo Colidio has revealed he would not have been able to forgive himself had he rejected the opportunity to join Inter from Boca Juniors.

The highly rated young striker was snapped up by the Nerazzurri in the Summer of 2017 and is still waiting for his chance in the Inter first team.

“I was doing very well at Boca, even though I was a reserve and the starter was Marcelo Torres. I couldn’t believe it when Inter came in for me, it’s every boy’s dream to play for a great European club. It was very difficult to say no. If I had refused it, I would never have forgiven myself.”

He was shipped out on loan to Belgian Jupiler Pro League side Sint-Truiden for this season and went on to reveal that he had actually been close to joining Premier League club Newcastle United beforehand.

“I was very close, but it didn’t happen because the clubs couldn’t reach an agreement.”

He then went on to share his views about Inter strikers and compatriots Mauro Icardi and Lautaro Martinez.

“They have both performed very well since I joined Inter. They gave me a lot of advice every day and helped me understand non-trivial aspects. I took the opportunity to watch their movements, since I am very shy and I was afraid to ask for advice.”

Colidio then shared his desire to return to Inter at the end of the season.

“I would like to return to Inter in June, but I will respect their decision. If they want me to go out on loan again, I will welcome it.”

In conclusion he refused to rule out the possibility of a return to Boca Juniors in the future: “Would I like to return to Boca in the future? I played twice at the Bombonera, it was something incredible. I always say that I would like to come back and play at the Bombonera more.”

This season whilst out on loan Colidio has made 13 appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored one goal and provided seven assists.

Inter Set To Offer Defender Stefan de Vrij A New Contract

Inter are to set to offer centre back Stefan de Vrij a new contract as a reward for his stellar form shown over the course of this season according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

de Vrij joined Inter back in the Summer of 2018 on a free transfer on a five year contract after running his contract down at fellow Serie A side Lazio.

de Vrij has been one of Inter’s most consistent performers this season and the 28-year-old has appeared in all barring six of Inter’s 36 matches across all competitions to date this term.

In just over 2600 minutes on the field, the former Feyenoord defender, who has made 37 appearances for the Dutch national team, has contributed two goals and also provided four assists for his Nerazzurri teammates.

Inter Owned Samuele Longo: “I’ve Got The Qualities To Play In Serie A”

In an interview with Italian newspaper Quotidiano del Piave, Inter owned striker Samuele Longo has shared his belief that he is good enough to play in Serie A.

The 28-year-old striker is currently out on loan at Serie B club Venezia but has backed himself to be capable of playing in Italy’s top flight, something he has managed 48 times during his playing career, which has consisted almost entirely of loan moves.

Longo is a product of Inter’s academy but has in fact made just two competitive appearances for the Nerazzurri first team.

Since making his Inter first team debut in 2011, he has went on to have 11 loan spells, including his current one with Venezia which began in January.

This season Longo has made a total of 22 appearances between his spell with Venezia and loan spell with Spanish side Deportivo La Coruna. In 1236 minutes on the park, he has scored four goals and tallied a single assist.

“At this moment I am only concentrating on Venezia, however I think I have the qualities to carve out a space in Serie A,” he remarked when asked about what the future could hold for him.

Inter Legend Cambiasso: “The Treble Winning Team Had A Crazy Desire To Do Well, It’s Been A Positive Season For Inter”

In an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, legendary Inter midfielder Esteban Cambiasso spoke on a range of topics and firstly spoke on what it felt like in the dressing room prior to the Champions League final in 2010.
“Each of us knew what he had to do. Sometimes people think that the player must be psyched up, but self-determination should not be forgotten,” he began the interview.

“Our team had a crazy desire to do well, we had climbed many steps to get there. We were aware that we were ready and if you have a striker like Diego Milito who can score a brace in the final then it is even better.”

He was then asked what the secret of the treble winning Inter side was.

“Our team will be remembered as one who defended well but also as one who managed to score more goals in games against the likes of Barcelona. We knew how to attack.

“Thanks to the intelligence of the attackers like Milito, Eto’o, Pandev and Snejider we knew how to suffer, then they also knew how to make a difference.”

Next he went on to reveal what Jose Mourinho, who masterminded Inter’s treble win, gave him.

“The way to train. With Mourinho we adopted a way of training that required enormous intensity. Jose is a great communicator, but he is a very well prepared coach both from a technical and tactical point of view.”

Cambiasso was then asked if he thinks Milito should have won the Balon d’Or in 2010 for his performances for Inter in the treble winning season.

“I would say yes for what he did and for how he decided the Coppa Italia, the scudetto and the Champions League.”

Next he gave his opinion on Inter striker Lautaro Martinez.

“He is a striker who can still grow and we still don’t know the ceiling that he has because he is always adding something to his game. Many teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid want him whilst Inter want to keep him.”

Cambiasso then shared his views on reports that Inter players are willing to take pay cuts for the remainder of the season.

“The situation is serious, we hope it can be resolved soon with the least number of deaths possible. The cutting of salaries becomes almost logical, knowing Samir Handanovic and the manager I know they would prefer that these events remain private.

“It seems to me to be a very good idea to get together and talk about the salaries but I think it is better if these events remain private.”

Cambiasso, who spent a total of 10 years on Inter’s books between the years 2004 and 2014, concluded by giving his verdict on Inter’s season.

“It has been a positive season, if it ends and it will still be positive if it does not. Solid foundations are being laid to do even better.”

Inter Willing To Discuss New Deal With Brozovic If Concrete Offers Arrive From Elsewhere

Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta has told the representatives of Marcelo Brozovic that a contract extension will be discussed if concrete offers arrive according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

Reports have suggested Brozovic’s representatives are shopping their client around to see what offers might arrive and Inter have made it clear that they are willing to hold talks over a new and improved deal for the Croatian, even though he only agreed to a new contract with the club a year and a half ago, if offers do arrive.

He currently has a deal with the club until the end of the 2021/22 season which contains a €60 million release clause – a clause which is unlikely to be activated this Summer given the financial damage the Coronavirus has had and will have on the footballing world.

The report goes on to state that Brozovic is currently happy in Milan and Inter are also happy with the midfielder who is central to Antonio Conte’s plans for the club.

This season he has made 32 appearances across all competitions in which he has scored three goals and provided five assists.
