Radu’s Agent: “He’ll Return To Inter At The End Of The Season”

Inter owned goalkeeper Ionut Andrei Radu’s agent Oscar Damiani has confirmed that his client will return to the club at the end of this season.

The promising Romanian goalkeeper is currently out on loan at Parma and there has been some suggestions in the media that he could be loaned out again or moved on on a permanent basis as Inter look to bring in another goalkeeper who can be the back-up to current number one Samir Handanovic.

Radu spent the first half of the season with Genoa and played regularly but upon losing his spot to Mattia Perin, Inter recalled him and loaned him out to Parma but he is yet to play for the Ducali club.

“Many agents have an interest in putting rumours out there. Radu will return to the Nerazzurri, there are no other plans. We have maximum confidence in what Inter told us,” Damiani remarked in an interview with Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

Damiani also touched spoke on what sort of impact he thinks the current Coronavirus pandemic will have on the upcoming Summer transfer window.

“If there is less revenue, consequently the possibility of spending is less. Transfer fees will be less. So teams must focus on the youth academy.

“Many clubs have good young people, for example the likes of Esposito and Agoumé will be very useful to Inter. Each team has guys who can be integrated into the first team squad.”

He also voiced his views over whether or not he thinks the current season will finish at all.

“The season must end. Sometimes I read that some presidents want to end it now but that would not be fair.”

Inter Knock Back Offer From Barcelona For Lautaro Martinez & Ready Themselves To Offer Him A New Contract

Inter have knocked back a players plus cash offer from Barcelona for Lautaro Martinez according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.

The reigning La Liga champions offered €70 million plus Arturo Vidal and Nelson Semedo for the highly rated 22-year-old but Inter knocked the offer back.

Inter will only let Lautaro go if the €111 million release clause that is in his current contract is met but with it looking like no club will do that, Inter are getting ready to offer him a new and improved contract.

As per the report, Inter will up the Argentine national team forward’s salary to €4.5 million a season and there will be no release clause in the deal.

Things could however change in the event that Lautaro pushes for a move to the Blaugrana but for the time being it looks highly unlikely with him currently happy in Milan.

This season he has made 31 appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists for his Nerazzurri teammates.

Lega Serie A & Italian Players Association Postpone Meeting Where They Were Due To Discuss Issue Of Player Salaries

Lega Serie A and the Italian players association (AIC) have postponed the meeting they were due to have tonight until tomorrow according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.

Lega Serie A sent a document to AIC earlier on today outlining what clubs want amid the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic when it comes to the payment of player salaries.

The report goes on to state that Lega Serie A and AIC had several calls throughout today to discuss the topic ahead of the meeting that was supposed to take place tonight in order to lay the foundations for a possible agreement on the matter.

In the past few days Juventus reached an agreement with their players which means they will not be paid for the months of March, April, May or June.

Some reports elsewhere in the media have suggested that other clubs are in favour of taking similar action whilst other clubs are yet to decide what they think is the best course of action.

Inter Captain Handanovic: “Joining Inter Was A Dream Come True, I Dream Of Winning Trophies With Inter”

In a question and answer session which was broadcast across Inter’s social media platforms, Inter number one goalkeeper and club captain Samir Handanovic spoke on a range of topics and firstly spoke on what he has been doing whilst stuck at home due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

“Everyone is aware of what is going on. We’re following the rules, staying at home and doing what we’re being told to do. Obviously, there’s a bit of worry, but this is normal. It’s difficult to stay focused, but we’re training at home,” he began the session which took place earlier on today.

“We’re also watching old videos or matches on TV and staying in touch. As is also the case with many other teams, videos have been sent by the coaches so we can continue to train. Aside from this, I’m with my family and have been playing cards and chess. I’ve also been doing some reading and watching TV in the evening with my children.”

Handanovic then went on to speak about what it means to him to play for the club and be the captain of the club.

“Wearing the Inter shirt and being the captain of this Club is a privilege, it’s something I’m proud of. I’m telling my teammates to hang in there, to make the most of the time they’re currently spending with their families as we wait to return to the pitch to fight together.”

Handanovic then recalled what it felt like to join Inter back in the Summer of 2012 from fellow Serie A side Udinese and spoke on some of the best saves he has made whilst representing the club.

“Joining Inter was a dream come true, something which brought great happiness. I considered it a source of pride and a test for me.

“I’ve made many saves, but the most difficult one, and one which I remember fondly, is the stop I produced in the Milan derby to keep out Çalhanoğlu’s free kick. My favourite save is the one I’m going to make next, the stop that I still have to produce.”

He then went on to speak about the best memories he has of his time with the club so far.

“Inter vs. Empoli last season was a great evening, particularly because it ended well. It was a difficult moment for us and we knew that everything was on the line on the final matchday, but we were able to celebrate in the end.

“It was fantastic and emotional. And then there’s the game against Lazio on the last day of the season two years ago, this is the evening which I most like to remember.”

The Slovenian, who has made 324 appearances across all competitions for the club, then went on to reveal what made him become a goalkeeper when he was a youngster. He also revealed goalkeepers he admires and how he gets on with his fellow goalkeepers.

“I became a goalkeeper after watching my cousin. Like all other children, I played outfield and, after seeing him in goal and watching his saves, I thought I’d try it out. If I had to name one Inter goalkeeper I particularly admired, it’d be Julio Cesar: I watched him play plenty of times.

“Padelli, Berni and I get along really well. We’re not just goalkeeping teammates, we’re also good friends off the pitch: there’s a real connection. Making sure I’m on my toes at decisive moments is, I believe, one of my characteristics.

“I also have a lot of willpower, which is something that you also need to work on. All shots are difficult to save, a goalkeeper can never afford to underestimate anybody. And then there are specialised shooters of the ball who are particularly dangerous.”

He concluded by discussing the dreams he has and how it feels to hear fans sing his name from the stands.

“My dream is to win trophies while at Inter. It’s great when the fans sing about you in the stands, I was a bit embarrassed at first but now enjoy it.”

Lautaro Martinez’s Agent: “He’s Focused On Inter, There’s Nothing Formal Or Serious With Other Clubs”

Lautaro Martinez’s agent Beto Yaque has confirmed that there is nothing serious with any clubs rumoured to be interested in his client.

Barcelona and their arch rivals Real Madrid have both been strongly linked with him for a number of months now and there have been a few other clubs linked to the 22-year-old as well but Yaque insists that for the time being his client is solely focused on Inter.

Speculation persists that Barcelona plan to make a player(s) plus cash deal to Inter for the highly rated Argentine national team forward whilst it is understood that Lautaro is on Real Madrid’s shortlist as they look to find a striker who can lead their line for the foreseeable future.

“He never calls me to ask if the rumours are true or not, he is focused on where he is and on his job,” Yaque remarked in an interview with Argentine radio station Radio Del Plata earlier on this evening.

“We have talked to many people, but nothing more than that. For now those who call me are not members of clubs. There is nothing formal or serious.

“Being coveted on the transfer market is something you dream of, but he doesn’t expect anything. All he wants is to play and score goals.

“His constant growth means that the best teams in the world will look at Lautaro. I hope that his efforts will be rewarded.”

This season the former Racing Club player has made 31 appearances across all competitions in which he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists for teammates.

Inter Could Get A Further €15m From PSG If They Sell Icardi To Another Italian Club

Inter could make a total of €85 million from Paris Saint Germain if they subsequently decide to sell Mauro Icardi to another Italian club according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

Icardi is currently out on loan at the reigning French champions and they can sign him on a permanent basis for €70 million come the end of the season.

As per the report, Paris Saint Germain and Juventus are keen on doing a swap deal between themselves involving Icardi and Miralem Pjanic and possibly Mattia De Sciglio.

In order for this to happen, PSG must activate their purchase option on Icardi which will come much to the delight of Inter.

The report states that there is in fact a clause in the agreement between Inter and PSG which means they will get another €15 million if PSG subsequently decide to deal Icardi to an Italian side.

Whilst in the French capital, Icardi has made 31 appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored 20 goals and provided four assists for teammates.

Inter Linked Harry Kane: “I Love Spurs But It’s Not A Definite That I’ll Stay Forever”

Tottenham Hotspur captain Harry Kane has refused to rule out the possibility that he could leave the north London club for a new challenge in the future.

Kane has been one of the most prolific strikers on the planet for the past few years now and there has been some speculation that he could move on.

A report from British news outlet The Telegraph earlier on this month suggested that Inter could make a move for the England national team star in the event that Lautaro Martinez departs the club amid ongoing links to La Liga powerhouses Barcelona.

“I love Spurs, I’ll always love Spurs but it’s one of those things. I’ve always said if I don’t feel we’re progressing as a team or going in the right direction, then I’m not someone to just stay there for the sake of it,” he remarked in an interview with British broadcaster Sky Sports.

“I’m an ambitious player, I want to improve, I want to get better, I want to become one of the top, top players.

“It all depends on what happens as a team and how we progress as a team. So it’s not a definite I’m going to stay forever but it’s not a no either.”

The 26-year-old, who is under contract with the Premier League outfit until the end of the 2023/24 season, has made 25 appearances across all competitions to date this term.

In 2230 minutes on the field, Kane has scored 17 goals and has provided two assists for his Spurs teammates.

Inter Reignite Interest In Signing Torino Centre Back Armando Izzo

Inter have reignited their interest in signing Armando Izzo from fellow Serie A club Torino according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

The Nerazzurri club had shown a keen interest in bringing in the 28-year-old centre back last Summer and there was even talk of a potential swap deal that would have sent Roberto Gagliardini in the opposite direction.

No move came to fruition but things could be different this Summer, the report from the Turin based newspaper explains.

Inter manager Antonio Conte is believed to be a big fan of the Italian national team defender due to the fact he has plenty of experience playing in a three man defensive system.

Izzo has been with his current employers since the Summer of 2018 and he has went on to 68 appearances across all competitions for them. 29 of those appearances have come this season in which he has scored three goals.
