Italian Report Highlights How Extended Transfer Market To December 31st Benefits Inter

A report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport has highlighted how some football institutions want the summer transfer window to be extended until the 31st December.

The report details how a market open for months with the season still being played would benefit big teams, as any poor start would allow them to purchase a few options quickly to try and turn their fortunes around. It would also allow Inter more time to negotiate for Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal, allowing them to push for a lower price than the one requested by the Blaugrana.

Contract dates and loan deals could also be extended to the end of the year, the report continues. This would also benefit Inter, as it would allow on loan players like Argentine striker Mauro Icardi and Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan to impress their temporary owners enough to remain after the deal expires. Paris Saint Germain and Cagliari both don’t look likely to enact the buy options currently and so the extended time period gives more time for the Inter owned players to shine.

Chelsea Likely To Give Inter Discount On Victor Moses For 2 Reasons

Chelsea are likely to grant Inter a discount to enable them to sign Victor Moses on a permanent basis according to a report from Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

Moses joined Inter in the recent January transfer window in a loan deal until the end of the season with Inter having an option to sign him up on a permanent basis for a sum of €12 million.

It has been reported elsewhere in the media that Inter wish to keep a hold of Moses past the end of this season with Inter manager Antonio Conte in particular a big fan of the Nigerian national team defender.

As per this report, Chelsea will likely give Inter the discount they are reportedly seeking for two reasons.

The first reason is that Moses is not part of Chelsea manager Frank Lampard’s plans and the second reason is that his contract expires at the end of next season so Chelsea would prefer to get something for him rather than risk getting nothing for him next Summer.

Martin Dubravka: “Inter’s Milan Skriniar Deserved To Be Named Slovak Player Of The Year”

Newcastle United and Slovakia national team goalkeeper Martin Dubravka has shared his delight after seeing Inter centre back Milan Skriniar named Slovakian footballer of the year in the past few days.

Dubravka finished runner up to Skriniar but could not help but be happy for Skriniar who he believes is a deserving winner of the award.

“Finishing in second place is fantastic for me. It is a great honour for me and at the same time I am happy that Skriniar has won, it was clearly deserved,” Dubravka remarked in an interview with Slovakian news outlet Sport.

“It has been an excellent year for him. He has captained Inter which is something extraordinary. I am very happy that he has remained the same conscientious boy from the past.”

Skriniar became the first person since Robert Vittek won the award in 2006 to win that was not Martin Skrtel or Marek Hamsik and Dubravka admitted it was a shame that Skriniar was not able to celebrate the award win on stage as would traditionally be the case due to the current situation.

“It’s a shame there was no ceremony. It would have been certainly more beautiful for all of us. It does not happen often that neither Hamsik or Skrtel wins.

“However, I think the time will come when we will all have fun together. Maybe we will meet in the near future, now we have to adapt to the current situation.”

This season Skriniar, who joined Inter in the Summer of 2017 from fellow Serie A side Sampdoria, has made 32 appearances across all competitions to date. In almost 2300 minutes on the field, he has provided a single assist for his Nerazzurri teammates.

Italian Report Claims Inter Will Only Agree To Negotiations With Juventus Over Icardi Under Certain Conditions

Inter will only sit down and hold negotiations with arch rivals Juventus over Mauro Icardi under certain conditions according to a report from Rome based newspaper Il Messaggero.

The recently turned 27-year-old striker is currently out on loan at reigning French champions Paris Saint Germain and they have an option to buy him for €70 million but Icardi has already made his mind up that he does not want to remain in the French capital and instead wants a return to Italy.

Juventus have seemingly identified the former Barcelona academy player as a target for the Summer transfer window with them wishing to bolster their ageing attacking department which contains Gonzalo Higuain and multi-time world player of the year Cristiano Ronaldo.

As per the report from Il Messaggero, Inter may only agree to negotiations with the Bianconeri club if they are able to get some of their players as part of any deal for Icardi.
