Inter Unlikely To Pursue Permanent Move For Alexis Sanchez

It is growing increasingly unlikely that Inter will not pursue any sort of permanent move for on loan Alexis Sanchez according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

The Chilean national team attacker joined the club on a season long loan from Premier League club Manchester United this past Summer with the Red Devils paying the majority of the former Barcelona player’s wages for the duration of the loan.

An ankle injury early on in his time with the club ruled him out for several months and has limited his playing time significantly and when he has played he has not exactly lived up to expectations either.

Unless Manchester United agree to another loan deal it is unlikely that Inter will move for him on a permanent basis due to the fact Manchester United still want a decent sum of money for him and then there is the issue of his huge pay packet.

Chelsea Looking To Get Rid Of Inter Target Palmieri & Moses To Raise Transfer Funds

Chelsea are ready to offload both Emerson Palmieri and Victor Moses to raise funds for the Summer transfer window according to a report from British news outlet The Daily Express.

The Blues are looking to bolster their full back department for the coming season and beyond but with the department already bloated they are ready to sell players to raise funds and make space for new players.

Palmieri was a target for both Juventus and Inter in the recent January transfer window but Chelsea’s demands at the time for the Italian national team defender scared them away but the report states that both clubs are back interested in him once again.

As for Moses, Chelsea shipped him out on loan to Inter in the recent January transfer window for the remainder of the current season with an option to buy which is believed to be between €10-15 million. As per the report, Inter manager Antonio Conte is keen to sign Moses permanently.

Juan Musso’s Agent: “He Wouldn’t Expect To Start Over Handanovic If He Joined Inter”

Juan Musso’s agent Vicente Montes has shared his belied that his client is ready to take the next step in his career and join a top club such as Inter.

The Argentine national team goalkeeper has been one of the most consistent goalkeepers in Serie A since his arrival at Udinese and he has drawn links to both Inter and AC Milan among other clubs in recent weeks.

In an interview with FCInterNews.it, Montes has shared why he thinks Musso is ready to make the leap.

“I think he is and I will explain why. Juan’s qualities as a goalkeeper are obvious and obvious to everyone. In additiona to these qualities he is an exemplary professional. This is what makes great players different, their mentality. Musso has this and that is required for this role and to be at a top club.”

He was then asked if his client would expect to start at Inter over current number one goalkeeper Samir Handanovic should he join the Nerazzurri.

“He wouldn’t expect anything, no player has the right to play. It is what they do on the field that must determine who deserves it.

“Juan admires Handanovic as a goalkeeper and as a professional and if they were in the same squad Musso would fight for his place. I assure you that he would always fight whilst admiring and being respectful of Handanovic.

“He would definitely try and learn from the Slovenian and try to improve day by day. Imagine how strong the team would be with a super experienced goalkeeper in Handanovic and then a young keeper like Musso.”

Next Montes was asked if he has held any talks with Inter over his client and what he thinks of clubs being interested in the shot-stopper.

“No, but even if I had obviously I wouldn’t say it. In any case, I assure you that there are several clubs that have inquired about Juan across Europe. It is normal that he is followed due to his quality and because he is young.”

In conclusion, Montes was asked if his client his happy at Udinese and admitted that it is unknown what will happen in the coming months.

“Juan has a contract with Udinese and is very happy with the Bianconeri club. We have not planned a move, nor will we push for it. Everything is uncertain, who knows what the market will look like in the coming months.”

Van Der Meyde: “Inter Will Always Have A Special Place In My Heart, I Was Really Happy At Inter”

In an interview with Passione Inter, former Inter midfielder Andy Van Der Meyde reflected on his time with Inter among a number of other topics including Adriano, training with Marco Materazzi and a player he thinks would be a good signing for Inter.

“I always hope that Inter win and are the champions. I will always have a special space in my heart for Inter and the fans,” he began.

“I was really happy at Inter. The fans were great and I played with great players and great people. It was wonderful for me to play for a club like Inter.

“My best memory is probably the goal away to Arsenal when we won 3-0. Obafemi Martinez and Cruz also scored that day. It was an unforgettable night for us and Inter fans.”

The former Dutch national team player then spoke on former Inter striker Adriano.

“I think Adriano was one of the best players in the world when he played at Inter. He could score from any position. He was strong and also a beautiful person.

“For him the only important thing was to score goals and be important to his team. Some things then happened, but you know that’s life for you. He could have been the strongest in the world.”

Next he discussed what it was like to train alongside Marco Materazzi at Inter.

“I will always remember nutmegging him in training once and everyone cheered and taunted him and two minutes later he killed me. I learned not to mess with Matrix.”

He was then asked for his opinion on current Inter manager Antonio Conte.

“Conte is a commander. As a former footballer, I know what it means to have someone like him on the bench: he tells you who plays and how to do it, without discussion. It was great of Inter to hire him.”

Van Der Meyde then went on to discuss Ashley Young and Antonio Candreva who now occupy the wings like he did during his time at Inter.

“Young is a good player, he is nice crosser of the ball and has a nice shot. He has played for many years both as a left winger and as a full back, he can play in any side and is a nice player for Inter.

“Candreva is constantly busy helping his teammates, running for the team, he is what Inter needs, a good player and he also seems to be a good person too.”

He was then asked if he has any sort of relationship with current Inter and Netherlands centre back Stefan de Vrij.

“Yes, I talk to him sometimes. Not so much about Inter, but we chat more about his performances when he plays and when he scores in particular. We talk from time to time.”

In conclusion he was asked if he thinks Ajax’s Donny van de Beek would be a good signing for Inter in the future.

“He would be a nice purchase for Inter. He is a box to box player. He could run all day and he’s smart. He’s always in the right place on the pitch. He scores goals and above all he likes to win. Inter would be a great choice for him.”

Chelsea Striker Giroud Demanding 3 Year Contract To Join Inter

Olivier Giroud has demanded a three year contract from Inter according to a report from British news outlet The Sun.

The French national team striker’s contract with Premier League club Chelsea is due to expire at the end of the season and it is understood he is keen to reunite with former manager Antonio Conte in Milan but he wants a long term deal.

So far Inter have only extended a two year contract offer to the former Arsenal striker who they had went in for in the recent January transfer window but ended up pulling out of a deal for him.

Inter are believed to see Giroud as the perfect addition to their squad to bolster their attacking department and act as back-up to current top striker Romelu Lukaku.

This season Giroud has found playing time very limited with him having made only 13 appearances across all competitions in which he has scored three goals.

Brescia Could Accept Player Plus Cash Deal For Inter Target Tonali

Brescia could accept a player(s) plus cash deal for top prospect Sandro Tonali in the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

The Italian national team midfielder is one of the highest rated prospects in Italy at the moment and has drawn links to a whole array of clubs both in Italy and abroad in recent weeks and months.

Inter and Juventus are two of the clubs with the longest standing interest in the teen sensation whose contract with the Stadio Mario Rigamonti side is due to expire at the end of next season.

Brescia understandably do not want to let Tonali go cheap and it is understood that club president Massimo Cellino wants at least €50 million for him but the report from the Turin based newspaper states he could accept an offer for Tonali if a player or players are offered as part of deals.

Rivaldo: “Barcelona Should Focus On Bringing Neymar Back Over Bringing In Inter’s Lautaro Martinez”

Legendary Barcelona player Rivaldo has insisted that the club should prioritise the signing of Paris Saint Germain’s Neymar over Inter’s Lautaro Martinez in the upcoming Summer transfer window.

Reports in the media have stated that the Brazilian and Argentine attackers are Barcelona’s top two targets for the Summer but Rivaldo, who spent five years with the Blaugrana between 1997 and 2002, has shared his belief that they should be focusing on Neymar.

Rivaldo, who won the 2002 World Cup with Brazil, believes that Lautaro is not yet ready for a move to Barcelona and believes that Barcelona should bring Neymar in to reunite the Messi, Suarez, Neymar attack which was highly successful in the past.

“Rumours say that Barcelona are considering trying to sign the young Argentinian attacker Lautaro Martínez from Inter, but I think that the 22-year-old needs to keep developing and gaining experience. He’s already a valuable player for Inter, and could become a top player in the future, but he’s not ready for Barca,” he said in an interview with Betfair.

“Barcelona should focus on bringing Neymar back, to reunite him with Messi and Luis Suarez in the devastating attack they had in the past.

“They should make every financial effort to get Neymar because it seems PSG are now more open to realistic offers. They should do everything necessary to sign a player who’s already proved his value and wouldn’t be a risky signing.”

Reports in the media have suggested that Neymar could cost close to €200 million to sign whilst Lautaro has a €111 million release clause in his current contract with Inter.

Ex-Inter Defender Colonnese On Former Teammate Taribo West: “He Was Always Focused & A Tough Defender”

Former Inter defender Francesco ‘Ciccio’ Colonnese has reminisced about playing alongside Taribo West at Inter as part of an interview with Turin based newspaper Tuttosport today.

Both players joined the Nerazzurri in the Summer of 1997 and would spend two and a half years as teammates before West crossed the city divide and joined Inter’s city rivals AC Milan in the Winter transfer window of the 1999/2000 season.

Colonnese, who made a total of 80 appearances across all competitions for Inter, firstly spoke on what he remembers of West as a player.

“He was always focused on the pitch and was very strong physically. He was a tough defender.”

He then spoke about what West, who, like Colonnese was part of Inter’s 1997/98 UEFA Cup winning side, was like as a person.

“He was nice, he joked in the locker room and he would invite us to the church he founded in Milan. We had a great relationship.”

Upon retiring West has devoted himself to religion and become a pastor and Colonnese has admitted that he is not surprised by the career path his former teammate has taken.

“I am not surprised that he continued on his journey of faith. He was a devoted and generous boy. With his kindness I was sure he would continue on that path.”

In conclusion he spoke on what his best memory of the former Nigerian national team defender was.

“The best memory I have of him is the goal he scored in the UEFA Cup against Schalke. He scored a header from a corner in extra time.”
