Italian Report Claims Napoli Want €40m For Inter Linked Arek Milik

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has slapped a €40 million price tag on the head of striker Arkadiusz ‘Arek’ Milik according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

Milik’s current contract with the Stadio San Paolo club is due to expire at the end of next season and if a contract extension is not agreed soon then Napoli could be forced into selling him this Summer to negate the risk of losing him for nothing the following Summer.

Milik has drawn links to both Inter and AC Milan in recent weeks but the report goes on to state that for the time being the Poland national team forward is not one of Inter manager Antonio Conte’s top transfer targets for the Summer transfer window.

The report goes on to state that Inter and Napoli could however end up in negotiations for Mauro Icardi. Napoli showed an interest in Icardi previously and if Paris Saint Germain do not take up their option to sign him up on a permanent basis then there could be talks between Inter and Napoli.

Chelsea, Manchester United & Manchester City All Interested In Inter’s Lautaro Martinez

Premier League club Chelsea are keeping tabs on Inter striker Lautaro Martinez ahead of the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report from British news outlet The Daily Star.

Inter Give 5 More Players The Go Ahead To Return Home

Inter have allowed a further five players to return home to their native homelands to be with their families at this difficult time according to a report from the online edition of Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter had previously allowed Marcelo Brozovic and Samir Handanovic to return to Croatia and Slovenia and they have now allowed Romelu Lukaku, Christian Eriksen, Ashley Young, Victor Moses and Diego Godin to do the same.

Lukaku is headed back to Belgium, Eriksen is heading back to be with family having lived in Milan alone since his January transfer window arrival, Young and Moses are both headed back to England and Godin will return to Uruguay.

The players were all given the go ahead upon completion of their mandatory self isolation period which was triggered after coming into contact with Juventus defender Daniele Rugani, who tested positive for Coronavirus just days after the Derby D’Italia took place.

Serie A Clubs Divided About What They Want To Happen With 2019/20 Season

Serie A clubs are divided in what they want to see happen with the 2019/20 Serie A season according to a report from the online edition of Rome based newspaper La Repubblica.

A group of clubs, including Lazio, are keen to see the season concluded whenever and however possible whilst another group of clubs want the season to be cancelled and ruled null and void.

Should the season not finish a whole load of problems are likely to arise with the Italian football federation set to be faced with a series of tricky decisions such as whether or not to name a champion, who to award European competition places to.

Moreover, they will also have to decide whether or not relegation from Serie A and promotion from Serie B will take place.

Serie A could well end up a 22 team league next season but that would create a lot of problems with the schedule already busy enough with 20 teams in the league.

Inter Defender Ashley Young: “Lockdown Means Lockdown, It’s Time For You To Do Your Bit To Help Tackle This Global Crisis”

Inter defender Ashley Young has taken to social media platform Twitter to document what life has been like for him in locked down Italy.

Young and his Inter teammates concluded an obligatory two week self isolation period yesterday which came about as a result of Juventus defender Daniele Rugani testing positive for Coronavirus just days after Inter took on Juventus.

“Hi everyone, just wanted to share my thoughts given I’m currently living in Italy, the epicentre of the virus,” the 34-year-old Englishman began.

He then went on to discuss the risk that simply visiting the supermarket for essentials such as food poses and also discussed how much calmer going to the supermarket is compared to elsewhere in the world with several videos of panicked shoppers crowding shops appearing online.

“Realistically a supermarket is now your main risk at spreading this virus and even catching it. Speaking with family and friends at home it sounds like going to get food is just crazy. Remember, lockdown means lockdown.

“In Italy going to the supermarket is surprisingly calm… no fights over food, no stripped shelves and most certainly no abusing staff members for limiting food or any reason at all! And in almost every case it’s usually just one person shopping for a household.”

Young then also went on to provide some other advice for his followers relating to lifts and wearing gloves.

“Please read the following and share this if you haven’t already, it really is time to do your bit to help tackle this awful global crisis we are in.

“Queuing to go into supermarket is standard, but not because it’s for stockpiling or greed. Supermarkets have limited the number of people entering at any time so it’s never over-crowded! So wait and be patient to go in if your supermarket is doing this.

“If you have to get in the lift only get in with 1 more person, 2 people per lift at one time. And stand on opposite sides of the lift and face the wall – don’t breathe outwards towards that stranger.

“Always use gloves from moment you get out of your car! You don’t want to touch trolleys that other hands have been on. Keep the gloves on until you are getting back in the car.

“Use a face mask or scarf to keep you nose and mouth covered.

“Always keep your distance at the till. Keep the trolley behind you when you unpack at the till as it stops people from being able to to get too close.

“Don’t unpack your shopping right on top of somebody else’s, make a gap between theirs and yours so none of your shopping touches theirs. Here we can’t put our groceries on the belt until the person in front has finished paying.”

He then urged people to act as if everyone else has the virus and to ultimately just stay safe in the current crisis situation.

“This may sound harsh but treat everybody that’s not in your household as if they have the virus, you just don’t know.

“Most importantly, just stay safe! This is what we are doing here, it’s not an overreaction, it’s staying safe. And just remember others should be looking at you in this way as well. It’s not horrible, it’s a way of keeping your distance to ultimately help save lives.”
