FIFA Agent Lorenzo De Santis: “The Most Suitable Forward For Inter Would Be Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata”

FIFA agent Lorenzo De Santis, who is a well-known expert of South American football, discussed the Coronavirus emergency, the upcoming summer transfer market and the effects of the contagion on it in an interview with Italian media outlet PassioneInter.com earlier today.

First, De Santis highlighted how the Coronavirus emergency will affect the transfer market.

“This coronavirus emergency is something absolutely new and unprecedented on the world stage. Clearly, it’s also having a very serious impact on the running of leagues. This is precisely the first point to address, try to understand when it will be possible to complete the 2019/2020 season. On this step it may also depend part of what will be the summer market in 2020 that will certainly be affected by this great emergency. We will have to understand if the dates of the next market will be postponed, we can only wait and hope for some good news.”

He then discussed South American players that he thinks will make a big impact in Europe if they arrive in the upcoming summer.

“As far as the heroes of the next market are concerned, the name I feel like saying is Mattias Zaracho’s, who is not a novelty, but it is a certainty for those who follow the Argentinean league. He is an offensive midfielder and last year when Racing won the league, he was awarded best player. Racing refused important offers, out of all the €20 million from Atletico Madrid. He sees football, very good in assists, with great technique and would do very well in European football. If we go to see the emerging talents, we cannot fail to mention the name of Thiago Almada, awarded in December as best young Superliga player. He is originally from Fuerte Apache, the same area as Tevez. A rough but pure talent that is doing very well with Velez. Mention of merit also for Carrascal, Colombian offensive midfielder at River, despite his young age he has had an experience at Sevilla in Spain, and in the Ukrainian league. Estro and unruly, is doing very well under the guidance of Gallardo and with the Colombian jersey. And then there is Martinez Quarta.”

De Santis touched on Inter’s interest in the 23-year-old Lucas Martinez Quarta

“It’s already in the Argentina squad. Defender with great qualities, very good at setting up, elegant. He’s learned to be always focused. He’s a favourite with many clubs. In Zanetti’s words, Inter have confirmed their strong appreciation of the player. A termination clause of €21 million, but in my opinion, he can be taken away with €10-12 million plus bonuses.”

The FIFA agent spoke about the arrival of 16-year-old Argentine winger Franco Ezequiel Carboni, son of Ezequiel Carboni, who joined Inter’s Primavera squad in the January transfer window.

“Carboni is a winger, second striker. He’s fast, with excellent technique. He went from Lanus to Catania. At the moment Lanus has the most prolific youth sector in Argentina, they gave more players than anyone else to Argentina for the Under 17 World Cup. In Catania he played so well that he deserved Inter’s attention.”

De Santis discussed Barcelona’s interest in Inter striker Lautaro Martinez and the likelihood of the 22-year-old joining the Blaugrana in the summer transfer window.

“Lautaro is an extraordinary striker, still very young. He has great room for improvement, he’s having a season of the highest level, the numbers show it. Given his age and performance the €111 million clause is attracting the attention of clubs like Barça. Then it’s no mystery that Messi has a special feeling with him and hasn’t made it a mystery that he enjoys playing with him. It’s a negotiation that we will certainly find ourselves in the next market window.”

Finally, De Santis discussed Inter’s interest in multiple strikers as they look to strengthen the club, such as Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud and Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

“Surely Inter, regardless of Lautaro, will have to make an important move in attack. Sanchez is a bet that hasn’t paid off. The young Esposito is a very interesting player but he needs to grow up. So at least one important attacker has to come. Giroud and Aubameyang are names that circulate. But the most suitable player for Inter would be Duvan Zapata who is having another extraordinary season. It’s clear that those who have good players try to keep them, but for someone like him I’d do anything because he’d certainly do well in a top club.”

Inter Have Identified Parma Goalkeeper Luigi Sepe As Potential Backup To Samir Handanovic

Inter are looking for a backup to starting goalkeeper Samir Handanovic and have identified a new potential option in Serie A, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia earlier today.

The report details how the Nerazzurri have identified Parma goalkeeper Luigi Sepe as a potential option to fill the whole left behind by the departure of Daniele Padelli. The 28-year-old Italian shot stopper, who is currently on loan at Parma from Napoli, is contracted to the Partenopei until 2022. He has made 22 appearances so far this season for the Crusaders, for a total of 1980 minutes. In that time, he’s conceded 28 goals and secured five clean sheets.

There is a reason that the Nerazzurri are looking for an alternative to Udinese number one Juan Musso, the report continues. The 25-year-old Argentine shot stopper, who is contracted to the Friulian club until 2023, wants to be a regular starter and not sit on the bench all season, despite the fact that he would be the heir to Samir Handanovic’s throne.

Romelu Lukaku’s Agent Federico Pastorello: “He Immediately Understood The Warmth Of Inter Fans Compared To Juventus Fans”

Inter striker Romelu Lukaku’s agent, Federico Pastorello, discussed the Coronavirus emergency, its effects on football and his client in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia earlier today.

First, Pastorello discussed the effects on the market once the emergency is over.

“It’s a good question. No one can know. We have to see when this pandemic will end. The primary event is the conclusion of the European leagues. If the leagues will end, as I hope, there will be effects, but only for one season.”

The agent then discussed why the 26-year-old Belgian client joined Inter instead of Juventus last summer.

“Romelu had expressed the desire to leave the Premier League. He needs to feel loved, that made the difference, he immediately understood the warmth of the Inter fans compared to those of Juventus. The Bianconeri are the best club, the arrival of Lukaku at Juve would have pleased many, but for Inter the acquisition of Romelu was a turning point and this was immediately understood. He felt well liked since the beginning by the fans, even if the lack of agreement between Dybala and Manchester United was decisive.”

Pastorello touched on the difficulty of bringing Lukaku from Manchester United to Inter.

“Without doubt the hardest was that of Lukaku, difficult because United itself is a strong club, we had to force the club to realise that Lukaku wanted to express himself in a different league. For Lukaku there was an important step made by Zhang and Conte, Inter made the right offer, the minimum necessary to bring home the transfer.”

He also discussed another difficult deal that he oversaw.

“The most difficult one was Lichtsteiner’s transfer from Lazio to Juventus. It was a four-month-long negotiation.”

Finally, Pastorello spoke about what would happen regarding loan deals should the leagues run past the 30th June.

“We’re studying the matter with our lawyers. For me that’s exactly what’s going to happen, which is to go beyond 30th June. Either we exclude all players who are due on 30th June, or, and this is the most plausible hypothesis, an extension of one month. Of course, there are players who are expiring and have signed with other clubs. These are rare cases, we’ll need a special waiver.”

Serie A, like most other leagues around Europe, has been postponed due to the fears that the Coronavirus could spread rapidly at games, as well as in training grounds and other areas used by staff and players. UEFA agreed to postpone Euro 2020 in order to allow leagues across the continent to finish on time.

Barcelona Forward Antoine Griezmann May Be Sold In The Summer, Creating Funds For Deal For Inter Striker Lautaro Martinez

Barcelona striker Antoine Griezmann may already be sold by the Blaugrana in the upcoming transfer window, with Inter striker Lautaro Martinez potentially being bought with the proceeds of the sale, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Spanish newspaper Sport.

The report details how the 29-year-old Frenchman joined the Catalan club from rivals Atletico Madrid in a deal worth €120 million last summer, but the player has failed to make a strong impact in Catalonia. The player has scored 14 goals and provided four assists in 37 appearances so far this season for the Blaugrana.

The club have set a €100 million price, the report continues. Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and PSG are all interested in him and can afford the deal. Barcelona’s ideal substitute for Griezmann is Lautaro, who has impressed massively this season under coach Antonio Conte. A player exchange seems unlikely currently, although if no buyer is found then it could become a reality.

Inter Facing Competition For Arsenal Striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang From Manchester United

Inter are facing competition for Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the British newspaper Metro.

The report details how the 30-year-old Gabonese striker, who is contracted to the Gunners until 2021, seems destined to leave the North London club in the upcoming summer transfer window, with a contract renewal not looking close. Fellow Premier League side Manchester United are interested in the player and are preparing a £50 million offer to secure his signature.

The Nerazzurri are interested in Aubameyang, the report continues, as a potential replacement for Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez. The 22-year-old Argentinian striker is wanted by Spanish giants Barcelona and the Blaugrana are working hard to create a viable deal.

Aubameyang has made 32 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2711 minutes. In that time, he has scored 20 goals and provided one assist, being one of the few bright spots in Arsenal’s season.

Lazio Athletic Trainer Fabio Ripert: “Training At Home Isn’t The Same As Training On The Pitch, But The Body Can Recover In 2-3 Weeks”

Lazio athletic trainer Fabio Ripert discussed the Coronavirus emergency and the Biancocelesti’s return to training in an interview in today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

First, Ripert discussed the players’ conditions whilst under lockdown in their homes.

“The team has been training from March 1st to 7th, then home training was arranged. Muscle tone is not lost, it can be maintained at a good level. You can lose acceleration, the ability to decelerate, elasticity in changes of direction. But muscles have memory.”

The trainer revealed what work he was underdoing for the players.

“I’m studying spaced athletic training to do those exercises that are conditioned at home.”

He discussed the differences between training at home and training at Formello, the Roman sides home base.

“The treadmill or any other home appliance does not allow to replicate the muscle reactivity that is stimulated on the field, to reproduce the changes of direction, the effect of the training match, there is a lack of specific gestures, stretching over 30-40 meters, the achievement of a speed above 25 kilometers per hour. A general maintenance work can be carried out. These are jobs that give results to avoid weight gain and help on a psychological level.”

Ripert highlighted how the players would be ready if the league restarted in May, considering the long stop.

“At the beginning of March, the stop sign was calculated as a stop for the national teams, then things changed. The objective, waiting for the dates, is to keep fit until the fateful day. It would be a bit like organizing the summer pre-season, even if slightly stretched. Last year for us the season ended on May 26th, the recovery took place on July 9th, after 44 days of stop. If you stop for more than two months the ratings will change, it has never happened.”

Finally, Ripert detailed how an April restart would be too soon for the players, even though it is incredibly unlikely to happen.

“In general, in 2-3 weeks, the body is able to readjust itself, to ‘calibrate’ again, and in 4-5 weeks you can reach good levels of preparation.”

Lazio president Claudio Lotito is one of the few club presidents pushing for a return to training soon, despite the risks associated with squad training. The AIC, as well as most other clubs in the league, do not agree with his decision.

Douglas Costa Is The Latest Juventus Player To Break The 14-Day Quarantine After Returning To Brazil

Juventus’ squad has been split in two, with some players breaking quarantine to return home to their native countries and others staying in Turin, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Other players who have left Turin include Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, Argentinian striker Gonzalo Higuain, Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic and German midfielder Sami Khedira.

However, the problem is that all of these players should have still be in quarantine in Turin, the report continues. Inter May Include Youth Product Ionut Radu In Deal For Udinese Goalkeeper Juan Musso

Inter may include Romanian shot stopper Ionut Radu in the deal for Udinese goalkeeper Juan Musso, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are searching for a long-term replacement to captain Samir Handanovic. The 35-year-old Slovenian shot stopper will still be Inter’s number one next season, but the Milanese club know they need to start working on a replacement now, similar to what Juventus did with Gianluigi Buffon and Wojciech Szczęsny.

The price for Musso would be €20 million, the report continues. Inter may include youth product Radu in the deal, as the player still hasn’t reached their expectations yet. Serie A Broadcasters To Ask League For A Discount For This Season

Sky, DAZN and Img are willing to ask for a discount on the total amount to be paid to Lega Serie A, should the season not be completed, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Serie A is currently postponed until May, although there is still a chance it won’t be safe to restart the league.
