Inter President Steven Zhang Asked About The Price Of Fiorentina Midfielder Gaetano Castrovilli In Person

Inter president Steven Zhang asked Fiorentina director Joe Barone about the price of Italian midfielder Gaetano Castrovilli in person, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the Chinese businessman approached Barone during the Nerazzurri’s Coppa Italia clash against the Florence based club at the end of January to ask about the price of the 23-year-old Italian midfielder, who is contracted to the Viola until 2024.

Fiorentina president Rocco Commisso has no interest in selling Castrovilli, the report continues. The player’s contract was renewed earlier in the season and will be further lengthened by another year in the autumn, showing Fiorentina’s commitment to the midfielder.

Castrovilli has made 26 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2023 minutes. In that time, he has scored three goals and provided two assists. A product of Fiorentina’s youth system, he is one of the club’s stars, alongside Federico Chiesa.
