Chelsea & Manchester United Interested In Inter Linked Philippe Coutinho

Inter have shown an interest in having Philippe Coutinho included in a deal that would send Lautaro Martinez to Barcelona according to a report from Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo.

It has been widely reported that Barcelona have identified Lautaro as their top target for the upcoming Summer transfer window but despite this they seemingly do not wish to pay his €111 million release clause that is in his current contract with Inter.

Multiple reports have suggested Barcelona are keen to do a player(s) plus cash deal for the highly rated 22-year-old and Coutinho could well be included in a deal.

The report does however go on to state that Inter are not the only club to have shown an interest in the Brazilian attacking midfielder.

Premier League duo Chelsea and Manchester United are both also interested in the former Liverpool player, who is currently out on loan at reigning German champions Bayern Munich.

New Orleans Pelicans Basketballer Melli: “I Hope Inter Can Win The Serie A Title Next Season”

NBA and Italian national team basketball star Nicolo Melli has shared his hopes to see Inter win the Serie A title next season.

For a long time this season Inter had been up at the top challenging for the Serie A title but prior to football being stopped due to the Coronavirus crisis, Antonio Conte’s side slipped down to third in the table and find themselves eight points behind second placed Lazio and nine points behind first place Juventus, although they do have a game in hand.

Although Inter have fallen off, Melli has revealed there has been plenty he has been happy with this term.

“I hope that next year will be the decisive one to win the Scudetto again. This year has been full of satisfactions but the season has not been concluded but now there are other priorities than football,” Melli remarked in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport 24 earlier on today.

The 29-year-old centre is in his first season in the NBA and currently plays for the New Orleans Pelicans. The former Olympia Milano player has played in 52 games this year for the Pelicans in which he has averaged 6.8 points, three rebounds and 1.3 assists per contest.

Serie A Players Could Have Wages Suspended This Month Due To Coronavirus Crisis

Players in Serie A could have their wages suspended this month in the midst of the global Coronavirus pandemic according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.

With football on hold for the time being due to the current crisis situation, there are great fears over clubs and the league itself making significant financial losses due to not receiving income they were expecting to receive such as money from gate receipts for the clubs.

In the past few days the topic of players helping out has been heavily discussed and reports have suggested players could be asked to take pay cuts to help cushion the financial blow with one report even suggesting players could have wages cut by as much as 30%.

The 20 Serie A clubs have given Lega Serie A president Paolo Dal Pino a mandate to speak with Italian football federation president Gabriele Gravina on the topic and with the president of the Italian players association Damiano Tommasi.

The report goes on to conclude that in the event that the season does not resume whatsoever, the Italian football federation are prepared to seek financial assistance from the Italian government.

Inter Striker Lukaku: “I’m Not Scared Of The Situation But It’s Like Living In A Bubble”

In an interview with Bleacher Report, Inter striker Romelu Lukaku has spoken on how different things are in Milan at the moment due to the global Coronavirus pandemic.

“Milan is silent at the moment, there is nobody around. It is very different than when I arrived. At the time there were a lot of people on the street, the restaurants were full, even the area where I live was full of people outside,” he began the interview.

“Now there is none of this. Now I’m in self-isolation because after we played against Juventus, one of the players tested positive for Coronavirus. When I look out onto the balcony, I see a completely different view.

“We have to take our temperature every day but nobody in the team has shown symptoms related to this virus.”

He then went on to discuss how he feels and was asked if he is at all scared by the situation.

“I wouldn’t say I’m scared but it is like living in a bubble, you try to understand what is happening and at the same time you know you are in the most affected country in Europe and that’s why you don’t see what’s going on, in some cities you only hear ambulance sirens going back and forth.

“I already knew it was only a matter of time before any player contracted the disease. Unfortunately it happened, now see how the list is filling up. It’s difficult because you miss the sport you love, but overall health is much more important than football right now.”

The Belgian national team forward then went on to discuss what he is doing to keep himself busy whilst in quarantine and has tipped himself to be in top condition by the time players are allowed to resume training.

“After I wake up, I do bicycle training. Then I use a device called Tecar which helps my muscles, in particular damaged tissues after every sport.

“It is also useful for heating and recovery. Then I also have my hyperbaric chamber, I saw that Lebron James had one and therefore I wanted one as soon as possible.

“When we played regularly, instead of going to bed after every game, I had a session here. Since we play football at high tempo, pressing hard, there is a need to recover quickly.

“You have to eat right and drink lots of water, so that, when you return to competitive activity, the first 4-5 days will be crucial for me but I think I’ll be in top form.”

He added: “The first thing for me is to ensure general health. If we have to play in conditions that do not guarantee health, why should we play? We still run the risk of having sick players.”

Lukaku then discussed how his family are in the midst of this crisis situation.

“They are all in Brussels except for me. My mum went away as the epidemic started to spread. I called all the people I know in Belgium, telling them I needed a plane for her. I called at noon, she left at four in the afternoon.”

He was then asked how his Inter teammates are and revealed that the players are keeping each other’s spirits high by sending funny videos to one another.

“I spoke to some of my teammates yesterday, those who live in the building opposite mine. They are worried because we miss being able to be together, we are a team with excellent chemistry and all this makes things a little difficult.

“We are always in touch with one another, we have a chat on WhatsApp where we talk every day. The boys send funny videos. Some of us are in a lucky position, and I think that when all this is over, we will realise that we must take care of what we have.”

In conclusion the 26-year-old was asked if he is using this time in self-isolation to do anything in particular to which he responded: “I have used this time to reflect and understand what I can do best for my family. Since I was a child, my family has always been the main thing.”

Arambarri’s Agent: “Inter Are Interested? He’s Ready To Play For Any Team In The World”

Getafe midfielder Mauro Arambarri’s agent Tito Sierra has addressed the recent media speculation in both Spain and Italy which has seen his client linked with a potential move to Inter.

As per reports in both nations, Inter have sparked an interest in the Uruguayan ahead of the upcoming Summer transfer window with them keen to bolster their midfield department.

Sierra started the interview with FCInterNews.it by speaking on what Arambarri is like as a person: “I’ve known him since he was really young. He is a humble boy and a hard worker.”

He then went on to discuss the Inter links and was asked if he thinks his client is capable of making the jump.

“He is totally ready to play for any team in the world both from a physical and mental point of view. I have not even the slightest doubt about this. He has temperament, discipline, class and above all humility and quality as an exceptional person.

“Inter have been interested in him for two years? What you say is true.”

He was then asked how much Getafe are likely to want for him: “I prefer not to talk about money right now. Given the current situation, one must be cautious.”

The 24-year-old has been on Getafe’s books since the Summer of 2017 and is viewed as one of the top young talents in La Liga.

Arambarri, who is under contract with the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez side until the end of the 2022/23 season, has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date this term, in which he has scored one goal and provided a single assist.
