Coutinho Could Join Inter On 2 Year Loan As Part Of Deal That Would Send Lautaro Martinez To Barcelona

There is a chance that Inter could acquire Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona in the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

Coutinho is currently out on loan at reigning German champions Bayern Munich who have an option to turn his stay into a permanent one but this report and several others in the media as of late state that they have no intention of paying the €120 million clause.

Barcelona are said to be very keen on signing Lautaro Martinez from Inter and are hoping to reduce the price they pay by offering some players in return.

Coutinho could well be one of those players. As per the report, Barcelona could extend his contract by a further season to 2024 and then send him on a two year loan to Inter as part of the deal.

This season Coutinho has made 32 appearances across all competitions in which he has scored nine goals and provided eight assists.

La Liga President Javier Tebas: “We Are Optimistic About Finishing European Leagues & Competitions By June 30”

Javier Tebas, the president of La Liga and a member of the committee working on solutions to finish the 2019/20 season across Europe, has admitted he is optimistic about the possibility of everything being concluded by the end of June.

Leagues across the continent are on hold until further notice as a result of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic but earlier on this week, the European football federations made a commitment to European football’s governing body UEFA to conclude their seasons by the end of June at the latest.

“Our idea is to close everything by June 30, and we are optimistic about that. We would like to start between May 14 and 18, which would give us time to finish by the scheduled date,” he began an interview with Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

“We think we can do it, and without changing the competitions. The decision to postpone the European Championship’s, Copa America, Club World Cup and so on was the most important decision ever taken in the history of football. It was a gesture that required great responsibility.”

Tebas was then asked about Italian football federation president Gabriele Gravina’s recent comments where he suggested that the Italian football season may have to run into the middle of July.

“It is an alternative, but not the primary one. We continue to think about June 30 because of contracts, something that if neglected could actually lead to an alteration of the various competitions. If our idea is not possible, we will study an alternative plan that must have adequate legal bases.

“We are all on the same line, then of course, there are specific things from one country or another that we will solve, we must make 30 countries finish and we must do it quickly. My intention is to have the new schedule ready in the next seven to 10 days at most.”

In conclusion he was asked about the possibility of the remainder of the season being carried out without fans and behind closed doors.

“It will depend on the health authorities of each country. If those responsible for public health say we need to then we will do it but now the most important thing is to finish by June 30.”

AC Milan Show Interest In Inter Target Juan Musso

AC Milan could possibly rival city rivals Inter for the signature of Udinese goalkeeper Juan Musso in the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Speculation persists about the future of Rossoneri’s current number one goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and with this speculation in mind, the club’s management have began the process of finding his potential replacement if he is to leave.

Premier League duo Everton and Chelsea have both been linked with the Italian national team player as have the likes of Real Madrid among others.

With reports suggesting AC Milan could get in the region of €50 million for him, there will be no shortage of funds when it comes to investing in a replacement.

Musso is one idea that the Rossoneri management have whilst Napoli’s Alex Meret, who has also been linked to Inter, is another they have at the moment.

Nainggolan Could Stay At Cagliari But Inter Won’t Offer Any Discounts

There is a chance that Radja Nainggolan could complete a permanent move to Cagliari at the end of this season according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

The Belgian midfielder is currently on loan at the Sardinia based club from Inter and whilst there is no option for the deal to be turned permanent, the two clubs could hold talks over a permanent move.

Inter will however not grant the Rossoblu side any discounts however and will seemingly not budge from their asking price for the former Rome player which other reports in the media have suggested is just shy of €20 million.

Other reports in the media have suggested that Inter could look to sell Nainggolan abroad if a deal cannot be done with Cagliari with it understood that Cagliari may struggle to pay Nainggolan’s wages.

This season the 31-year-old has made 24 appearances across all competitions in which he has scored five goals and tallied six assists.

Inter Could Give Bayern Munich A Discount To Ensure They Buy Ivan Perisic

The chances of Bayern Munich signing Ivan Perisic on a permanent basis is becoming increasingly likely according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Croatian national team winger is currently out on loan at the reigning German champions from Inter and can turn his stay into a permanent one for a sum of €20 million.

Inter are keen to ensure that the Bavaria based club keep a hold of the former Wolfsburg man and the Milan based newspaper’s report goes on to claim that Inter could well grant Bayern Munich a discount, perhaps as big as €5 million.

There had been contrasting reports in recent weeks regarding Bayern Munich’s intentions for Perisic but a number of reports, including this one, are all of the belief that he is likely to be kept on by the Allianz Arena side.

This season Perisic has made 22 appearances, in which he has scored five goals and provided eight assists.

Inter Legend Bergomi: “Tolisso & Giroud Certainly Wouldn’t Be Starters At Inter”

Legendary Inter defender Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Bergomi has discussed the recent reports in the media that have linked Inter with 2018 World Cup winning duo Corentin Tolisso and Olivier Giroud.

Bayern Munich would reportedly accept an offer in the region of €35 million for Tolisso whilst Giroud’s contract with current employers Chelsea is due to expire in the coming months thus meaning he could be acquired on a free transfer.

“Being world champions is a guarantee of great international experience and quality, but it is also a big responsibility and the arrival of one or two players of this kind does not necessarily mean that you can win immediately,” he began an interview which appeared in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Each player has their own history, their own characteristics and qualities. It is essential that all these elements are perfectly combined in project of the coach and the club. In my opinion, they would not certainly be starters at Inter.”

He was then asked if he thinks if they both arrived it would put Inter in pole position to go on and win the Serie A title at the end of next season.

“They would certainly make the squad more competitive as a whole, but they would not be fundamental pawns. Giroud is a perfect deputy Lukaku, but next to Romelu there is a need for Lautaro. The two together form a perfect pair, they complement each other.

“The same goes for Tolisso. Is he worth more than Barella or Brozovic? Not for me and let’s not forget that Eriksen, who is a player of enormous quality, is a back-up option today. It is not easy to enter a new situation.”

Bergomi, who spent his entire playing career on Inter’s books, then went on to suggest some Serie A based players which he would like to see the Nerazzurri club go in for in the upcoming Summer transfer window.

“Personally I would say Tonali and Locatelli. They are young players with great potential and enthusiasm. They are the two who have impressed me most of all this year. I also really like Boga, he is someone who can beat his opponent like few others can.”

Deputy General Secretary Of European Leagues Association: “All Competitions Will Be Finished By June 30, It’s Possible European Matches Could Be Played On Weekends”

Alberto Colombo, the deputy general secretary of European Leagues Association, has spoken with Gazzetta dello Sport in a bid to try and provide some clarity in amongst all of the current confusion.

Due to the global Coronavirus pandemic, football across the continent has been put on hold and it remains a mystery as to when football will resume.

European football’s governing body UEFA agreed to postpone the European Championship’s from this Summer to next to give leagues an extra month to try and complete their seasons by the end of June but Italian football president Gabriele Gravina has admitted that the Italian football season may run into mid-July.

Colombo started the interview with the Milan based newspaper by discussing the decision to move the European Championship’s.

“There was an unanimous agreement between UEFA, federations, leagues, clubs and players. We shouldn’t underestimate it.

“We were all convinced that the best solution was to move the European Championship. It is too difficult to organise the tournament in this situation, between twelve countries. Besides, it’s a people’s festival, you can’t play behind closed doors. You can do it with leagues but its still not the same thing.

“Absolutely all leagues, Champions League and Europa League will be finished by June 30. The postponement of the Euro’s have put us in a position to do so. We don’t know when we can start again and therefore we will have to develop several scenarios.”

He was then asked about Gravina’s recent admission to which he simply responded: “No league spoke of going on into July.”

He proceeded to talk about reports that have suggested that the remaining Champions League and Europa League matches could take place on weekends, something a number of clubs are seemingly not keen on.

“The agreement with the leagues included them being totally flexible on the possible use of all possible dates at the end of June but perhaps it has not been made clear enough.

“Total flexibility means giving the leagues the opportunity to play normally on weekends but also during the midweek rounds dedicated to the cups.

“In the same way, the cups can be played both during the week and on the weekend at the same time as the league matches. It is an emergency and extraordinary solution in the short term and only a possible one.

“If the calendar allows us to play on the normal days, if we start again soon, it [playing on weekends] will not even be taken into consideration.”

Inter Still Want Giroud & Could Sign Him On Free Transfer In The Summer

Inter have maintained the interest they showed in Olivier Giroud in the January transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri went in for the French striker during the January transfer window as per some reports whilst other reports suggested that the club even agreed a deal with Chelsea and personal terms with Giroud himself however the move never happened in the end.

A move could however happen in the upcoming Summer transfer window. Giroud’s current contract with the Premier League club is due to expire at the end of this season and if he does not sign an extension, he will therefore be available on a free transfer.

Inter are however not alone in courting the former Arsenal forward though with the Milan based newspaper going on to state that their fellow Serie A club Lazio are also keen on signing him.

Inter Could Move For Bayern Munich & France Midfielder Corentin Tolisso

Inter could make a move for Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso in the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter are looking to add players with experience of winning trophies to their ranks, something Tolisso has experience in doing having won six trophies during his career, including the 2018 World Cup with France.

The Nerazzurri had previously courted the 25-year-old midfielder during his Lyon days but missed out on him when Bayern Munich swooped in and signed him for €41.5 million.

Inter might now be able to sign him though with it understood that Bayern Munich would accept an offer in the region of €35 million for him.

The report goes on to state that it must also be remembered that Tolisso, who is under contract in Bavaria until 2022, currently earns €7 million a year, a figure that would make him one of Inter’s top earners should he be signed.
