Italian Media Report Vagiannidis Will Arrive In Italy Soon To Undergo Inter Medical

After three unsuccessful attempts, Inter have finally agreed to sign a player on a free transfer in Panathinaikos’ Georgios Vagiannidis according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The highly rated young Greek full back has agreed to join Inter on a four year contract from the Greek Super League side, who will receive a FIFA determined training compensation amount of €400,000.

Vagiannidis will soon be Italy to undergo his Inter medical and finalise his switch to the Nerazzurri club. Upon joining, it’ll be up to Inter manager Antonio Conte to decide what happens next with him.

He could be included in the first team picture or he could be sent out on loan to gain some first team experience.

The report from the Turin based newspaper goes on to explain that it was fourth time lucky for Inter when it comes to signing someone on a free transfer having made unsuccessful attempts to sign Tahith Chong, Dries Mertens and Olivier Giroud.

Inter Hoping Newcastle United Sign Valentino Lazaro Outright

Valentino Lazaro’s future is hanging in the balance according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The Austrian national team defender joined Newcastle United on loan with an option to buy from Inter back in the most recent January transfer window but it as yet unclear whether the Premier League side intend to take up their €22 million option to buy.

The report from the Turin based news outlet goes on to add that Inter have their fingers crossed that the Magpies do take up the option as it will allow them to re-coup their investment on the 24-year-old, who they bought from Bundesliga outfit Hertha Berlin just last Summer.

The former RB Salzburg player has made 16 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the field, which totals just over 800 minutes on the park, he has contributed a single goal and provided two assists for his teammates.

Inter Willing To Spend Around €20M On Udinese’s Juan Musso

Inter are thinking more and more about bringing Udinese goalkeeper Juan Musso to the club to serve as Samir Handanovic’s back-up according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

With Handanovic coming up for 36-years-old, Inter are keen to find someone who can initially serve as his deputy before succeeding him and being the club’s number one goalkeeper option for a long time.

Inter really like Musso, who has a €35 million release clause in his contract with the Bianconeri club. The report goes on to explain that Inter do not wish to spend as much as that on a back-up goalkeeper and would be willing to offer somewhere in the region of €20 million instead.

The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to state that Inter are refusing to rule out the possibility of using Ionut Andrei Radu as Handanovic’s back-up.

Roma Interested In Fiorentina Owned Inter Loanee Cristiano Biraghi

Roma have developed an interesting in signing Fiorentina owned full back Cristiano Biraghi according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Italian national team defender is currently out on loan at Inter but this has not stopped the Giallorossi from manifesting an interest in signing him ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

Before the Italian capital city club can move for Biraghi though, they will have to sell Leonardo Spinazzola, who they are looking to get in the region of €25 million for.

Biraghi is at Inter on a dry loan therefore Inter have no option to sign him up permanently. A recent report in the media has suggested that there are two ways that he could end up staying with the Nerazzurri club past the end of this season though.

This season the 27-year-old has made 24 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored one goal and provided four assists.

Inter manager Antonio Conte sees Parma’s Luigi Sepe as the ideal back-up goalkeeper to current number one Samir Handanovic according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Sepe has starred during the course of his two year long loan deal with the Ducali club, who he is set to join on a permanent basis at the end of the season as per the terms of the agreement they reached with Napoli.

Sepe is one of a host of goalkeepers to have been linked with a move to Inter ahead of the upcoming transfer window as Inter seek a back-up goalkeeper to Handanovic who could also potentially succeed him as the club’s starting goalkeeper in the coming seasons.

Barcelona can only do a move for Lautaro Martinez at the start of the next financial year according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Barcelona are going through a far from easy time financially at the moment, despite their great ability to create enormous revenue. The club have lost some €154 million as a direct consequence of the pandemic and will be forced to make a number of sales to balance the books by the end of this month.

Although Barcelona will not be able to move for him until at least July 1, Inter’s stance will still be the same for the player.

The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to state that Inter will continue to demand at least €90 million for the highly rated 22-year-old forward and with regard to potential counterparts, Junior Firpo is currently the most credible name.

San Lorenzo Director On Inter Linked Gaich: “He Can Play For Anyone”

San Lorenzo director Diego Delledonne has confirmed that the club have excellent relations with Inter amid reported interest from the Nerazzurri in young striker Adolfo Gaich.

As per recent reports in the media, Inter are among a host of clubs courting the Argentine youth national team forward with Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona both also reportedly interested in signing him.

“His release clause is $15 million and it is totally negotiable. Have we spoken to Inter? Our president has an excellent relationship with Javier Zanetti.” Delledonne explained in an interview with Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

He then went on to reveal that it is the club’s intention to sell him in the coming months: “We don’t want to let him go on loan. Our idea is to sell the player in this transfer window.”

In conclusion he was asked if he thinks Gaich is ready to join a club like Inter at this stage of his career.

“Gaich has the right characteristics and age to be part of any club.”

This season the 21-year-old, who has a contract with San Lorenzo through to the end of next season, has made 13 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the park, which totals just shy of 700 minutes, he has scored five goals and provided a single assist for his teammates.

Italian Report Claims Greek Youngster Vagiannidis Signs Four Year Deal With Inter

Georgios Vagiannidis has signed a four year contract with Inter according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The highly rated young Greek full back is leaving Panathinaikos on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract and they will receive a FIFA determined compensation amount of €400,000 from Inter.

Vagiannidis’ contract, which is until the end of the 2023/24 season, comes with an annual salary of €300,000 plus add-ons, a figure that could double if he makes 10 appearances.

It will be up to Inter manager Antonio Conte to decide the player’s fate. Vagiannidis will join the first team for pre-season training and a loan move for the duration of next season seems the most concrete possibility but him sticking around until January cannot be excluded either.

The 18-year-old leaves the Greek Super League side has made 17 appearances across all competitions this term between first team and youth team level, in which he has scored five goals and provided a single assist.

Inter & Roma Among Host Of Serie A Clubs Interested In Banfield’s Urzi

Inter are among a host of Serie A clubs who are courting Banfield starlet Agustin Urzi ahead of the upcoming transfer window according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.it.

Roma, Sampdoria, Sassuolo and Torino are all also interested in signing the highly rated young winger, who is a current Argentina under 23 national team representative.

The report goes on to explain that Torino in particular have stepped up in their pursuit of the 20-year-old, who will be allowed to leave the Superliga Argentina side for little under €10 million, despite the fact he has a €30 million release clause in his deal, as confirmed by his agent.

Urzi, who is under contract with Banfield until the end of the 2022/23 season, has made a total of 19 appearances across all competitions to date this term. In his time on the park, which totals just shy of 1500 minutes, he has provided a single assist for his teammates.

Alessandro Altobelli: “Everyone Remembers Me For The 1982 World Cup & Not Playing At Inter”

In an interview with Italian daily newspaper Corriere di Brescia, legendary former Inter striker Alessandro Altobelli has reflected on his time with Inter.

“In these days the champions of the treble are being celebrated, the Nerazzurri fans hold me at the same level as them,” he began the interview which appeared in yesterday’s print edition of the Brescia based news outlet.

He then spoke on two of the striker partners that he had during his time at Inter, Evaristo Beccalossi and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

“With Beccalossi I had a unique partnership whilst Rummenigge is the best striker I have partnered with.”

He concluded the interview by adding: “Everyone remembers me for the 1982 World Cup, but at Inter I showed what I was worth.”

Altobelli joined Inter in the Summer of 1977 from Brescia and spent the next 11 and undoubtedly best years of his career on the club’s books before departing for arch rivals Juventus.

The former Italian national team striker is second only to the legendary Giuseppe Meazza in Inter’s all time top goalscorers list with him having scored no less than 209 goals across all competitions during his time with the club.

Altobelli also won a single Serie A title whilst at Inter as well as two Coppa Italia.
