As Daniel Sturridge remains out with an injury and the Mario Balotelli experiment on edge, Brendan Rodgers should not sacrifice one of Liverpool's stars in order to gather reinforcements, according to ESPN FC's Gab Marcotti.

Mauro Icardi has invited Mario Balotelli to join Inter Milan, although the Serie A club appear to be focusing on other targets this winter.
Balotelli has been linked with a return to the Nerazzurri after failing to settle at Liverpool, with current Inter coach Roberto Mancini recently saying any club would want the Italian forward if he were to rediscover his best form.
"If he comes here, we'd be delighted to welcome him," Icardi, who has pledged his own future to Inter, told Mediaset television….
