It is still preseason and truth be told, little can be gained from analysing Inter's performances in too much depth. This does not mean, however, that in these matches we cannot see the beginning of new partnerships and new tactical systems developing. It is a time for fitness first and foremost, but for Inter, the deeper role of Mateo Kovacic and more importantly his link-up with Geoffrey Kondogbia has certainly been encouraging.
