ARDEA – There were black and blue ribbons on the Memorial Cristina Varani trophy this evening as Marco Mandelli’s Nerazzurri won the first ever edition of the tournament thanks to a 2-1 victory over Barcelona.

It was the Catalan side that took the lead through Navarro Munoz, but Inter equalised on 21 minutes thanks to an Esposito strike and finally bagged the winner in the seventh minute of extra time to lift the cup.

There was further joy for the Nerazzurri family as Filip Stankovic (son of Dejan) was named best goalkeeper at the competition.
