Esordienti finish third in Gallipoli
MILAN – Fabio Sacco’s Inter Esordienti have finished in third place at the XIII Torneo di Carnevale – Coppa Santa Maria di Leuca in Gallipoli.

After winning Group A, the Nerazzurri beat Atalanta 2-1 in the quarter-finals before narrowly losing 1-0 to AC Milan in the semis.

The Esordienti took on Eurosport Brindisi in the third-place playoff at the Stadio Bianco in Gallipoli on Tuesday morning. The two sides had already faced off in the group stages, with Sacco’s youngsters being held to a 0-0 draw, but there were no such problems this time around as the Nerazzurri handed down a convincing 3-0 win to sign off in Puglia.
