Happy birthday Juan Sebastian Veron
MILAN – Veron’s nickname gave you a hint about the magic he had in his feet and the “Brujita” – Spanish for the “Little Witch” – served up enough of that during his two years at the club between 2004 and 2006.

The moment that will remain in the hearts of Inter fans is without a doubt his goal at the Stadio Dell’Alpi on 20 August 2005 against Juventus in the Italian Super Cup.

Early on in extra time, Adriano chased down a ball and laid it off for an onrushing Veron to smash a first-time shot past Antonio Chimenti from the 18-yard line. It proved to be the decisive goal as Inter held on in Juventus’s back yard to lift only the second Super Cup in their history.
