Inter Striker Esposito: “Inter Manager Antonio Conte Always Wants To Win”

In a live interview which was broadcast on Autogol’s Instagram channel, Inter teen sensation Sebastiano Esposito has given an insight in what he has been doing with his free time whilst Italy is in lock down.

“I am doing fine in quarantine. I have been playing a lot of PlayStation. I mostly play Fifa but play Call of Duty if my friends want to,” he began the interview which was broadcast earlier on today.

“I am not crazy about watching series, I like watching movies more but I do like the series based in Naples and on the Camorra. I watched Gomorrah and I liked it.”

He then spoke on what he thought he would become when he was a child.

“As a child I thought about having fun and when I was without the ball I had a hard time. We footballers are in a privileged position because we get to work as what we have always dreamed of.”

Next Esposito spoke on how it felt to be included in the Inter first team for the first time and how it felt to make his debut in the Europa League knockout stages against German giants Eintracht Frankfurt.

“I wasn’t expecting it, I was on my way to represent the youth national team and whilst I was on the train the manager called me to tell me that I had been called up to the first team. I could not believe it.

“Making my debut was a fantastic feeling. I did not expect that either. My first goal in Serie A gave me the greatest feeling I have ever had in my life and I hope to score more.”

He then went on to speak on what it has been like to work under Antonio Conte since the former Italian national team manager took charge of the club this past Summer: “He always wants to win and has us playing at a very high intensity.”

He was then asked if he has any pre-match rituals he follows: “I believe in God, therefore I always pray before I go onto the pitch.”

In conclusion he was asked if Conte has ever gotten mad at him: “I don’t know if there is someone he has never been angry with [laughs].”

UEFA Considering 2 Solutions To Allow 2019/20 Season To Conclude

European football’s governing body UEFA are currently weighing up to potential solutions to conclude the 2019/20 season according to a report from Italian news agency ANSA.

Football across the continent is on hold at the moment as a result of the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic and there is complete uncertainty as to whether or not the season will even resume, let alone finish at some stage.

The first idea that UEFA are considering is to give priority to domestic competitions and then finish both of the Champions League and Europa League afterwards, which could mean the season runs on until as late as August.

If this is what happens, teams will have to extend the contracts of some of their players for a few more months and the Summer transfer window is also likely to be affected.

The other solution that they are thinking about is to just play everything all at once as what happens normally with all of the competitions.

Inter Linked Vertonghen: “I Have To Decide What I Want In My Career”

In an interview Belgian television show De Kleedkamer earlier on today, Tottenham Hotspur centre back Jan Vertonghen has admitted that the time has come for him to start thinking about his future.

The Belgian national team defender’s contract with the north London club is due to expire at the end of June and due to this he has drawn links to several clubs including Inter.

“I’m in a process right now that I have to grab a piece of paper and write down the pros and cons of the options I will have soon,” he began.

“I will really have to decide what I want in my career. In three to four years, I will go to the place where I will likely settle down.

He then went on to hint that his next move could be abroad with him admitting he needs to work out which language he wishes to learn among other things that would come with moving elsewhere.

“I have to start thinking about where I still want to live, what language I want to learn, what culture I still want to live in and also, very importantly, which competitions and prizes I still want to win. I don’t want to regret anything in my career.”

Vertonghen has been with Spurs since a Summer of 2012 move from Dutch powerhouses Ajax and he has since went on to represent the club on no less than 311 occasions across all competitions to date.

The 32-year-old has scored 14 goals and provided seven assists for his teammates in that time.

Former Inter Player Prohaska: “Inter Aren’t Completely Cut Off From Title Race”

Former Inter and Roma midfielder Herbert Prohaska has shared his thoughts on the 2019/20 Serie A season whilst it remains on hold.

Serie A, like pretty much every other league on the planet, has been halted due to the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic and there is a lot of uncertainty when it comes to what will happen with the season.

As things stand, the table is currently topped by Juventus who have 63 points after 26 games played. Lazio are in second place one point behind them and Inter are in third place with 54 points and have a game in hand on both of those above them.

At the other end of the table, Lecce, SPAL and Brescia occupy the relegation spots but they could could be reprieved of relegation with a number of reports suggesting that if the season does not conclude then no relegation will take place.

“It has been a very interesting season. Juventus have dominated as they always have in the past few years whilst Lazio are also up there this year whilst Inter has not been completely cut off from the title race either,” Prohaska, who spent two years with Inter between 1980 and 1982, told TuttoMercatoWeb.

“Atalanta must be applauded for what they are doing in the Champions League and it would be a pity if the season does not end but I think that is what will happen.”

Barcelona Want To Include Vidal In Deal For Inter’s Lautaro Martinez

Barcelona really want to include Arturo Vidal as part of any deal done with Inter for Lautaro Martinez according to a report from Spanish news outlet Sport.

Lautaro is understood to be one of the La Liga giants’ top targets for the upcoming Summer transfer window and it is believed that they want to do a player(s) plus cash deal for the Argentine striker rather than pay his €111 million release clause.

Reports in both the Spanish and Italian media in recent weeks have stated that Barcelona have several players that they are ready to include in a deal with Vidal among them.

They want Vidal in the deal due to the fact they do not want to risk losing him for nothing come the end of next season when his contract with the club will expire.

“Lukaku told me go on the ball and score, I was not tense, I felt the fans hope that I would score, it was a wonderful feeling, the fans and Romelu allowed me to make the dream of my life come true,” he began the session which was broadcast earlier on today.

He then spoke on his passion for football: “I was born with a passion for football, my dad and my whole family have always been into football.

“I love the history of Inter, it is a history which few clubs have. I joined a large family where everyone loves each other and above all wants the best for this shirt.

“Playing in Serie A for this team I think is every boy’s dream, I have to give everything, more than 100%.”

The youngster’s good relationship with Inter striker Romelu Lukaku has been well documented and he went on to discuss how it all came about.

“I have a good relationship with Romelu, it was born immediately, right from the first friendlies we played. If I could steal something from him? His goals! Few players have scored like him. When I talk to him he spurs me on a lot.

“I have an amazing relationship with him and D’Ambrosio. I was very well received in the first team, being part of this group makes me proud, on the field we have a great responsibility when wearing this shirt.

“Every day in the dressing room the team give me advice to improve myself, the most important piece of advice is to continue to work and be humble. To do this job it takes dedication and a desire to improve, these are the main tips that staff and teammates give me.”

He then spoke on his relationship with midfielder Borja Valero: “We are close and I miss his advice.”

Esposito then went on to speak about who his childhood idols were when he was growing up, named his best Inter starting XI and also shared his hopes for the future.

“My idol as a child was Totti, I was not old enough to watch Il Fenomeno Ronaldo when he was at Inter but I saw many of his videos, he was really crazy and one of the strongest strikers in the world.

“If I had to make a team of players from past and present then I would certainly put Handanovic in the goal, for me he is one of the strongest goalkeepers around, in defence I would have de Vrij or Samuel, Materazzi, Maicon, Zanetti then Stankovic, Brozovic and Milito, Ronaldo, Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.

“I hope many beautiful things happen in the future and I hope they will come. When I go to sleep I always dream of winning something with the Nerazzurri and with the national team. “

Esposito then discussed what kind of striker he sees himself as and the importance of family to him.

“I think I am a modern striker because I like to do both phases, both defensive and offensive, I help the defensive department a lot, I like to chase opponents, like player I would like to look like Diego Milito, he was very strong.

“I think my parents are proud of me, as they are of my brothers too, family is very important to me and they always support me.”

He concluded by giving some advice for people to follow during the current crisis period: “My advice for this period is to stay at home and do things that we cannot normally do in our daily routine.”

Inter Youngster Gavioli’s Agent: “He Wants To Play In Serie B Next Season”

In an interview with Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, Luca Ariatti, the agent of Inter owned Lorenzo Gavioli, has revealed that his client hopes to be playing in at least Serie B next season.

Gavioli was loaned out to Serie B outfit Venezia this past Summer but after struggling to break into the team, the loan deal was cut short and Inter loaned him out to Serie C side Ravenna for the remainder of the season.

Ariatti started by sharing his gratitude for how Ravenna went about coming in for his client in the past few months and also discussed his client’s spell at Venezia, where, although he never played as much as expected, he still learned a lot.

“I appreciated how Ravenna went about things in January. In Venice he grew a lot under Dionisi, who is one of the best managers in Serie B,” he said.

“The boy’s idea was to do well. The worst thing is to not play as the minutes Ravenna have given him are welcomed but his goal is to play in Serie B next season.”

The Italy under 20 national team midfielder, who is currently under contract with Inter until the end of the 2021/22 season, has appeared in six of Ravenna’s seven games since his arrival but he has made no goal contributions.
