After tonight’s victory against Lazio, Inter coach Stefano Pioli spoke with RAI: “This has been a special year, I hoped and hoped that the second year with Lazio would bring good results. But at the end it didn’t. Now I’m happy, satisfied and proud of being the coach of Inter. We are working a lot, we still have to do better in some areas but now we work as a team, think as a team and play with a spirit that can get us far. If we need a leader? I have many strong players at my disposition that are doing well and are growing everyday. Obviously we are a bit behind, there are seven teams, strong teams, in front of us, therefore things don’t depend only on us. Everytime we take the pitch, we have to give our best and we have to win every game. There are still 60 points to play for and we have to work hard in order to get them. We have worked on everything but it’s the build-up phase, the speed of the ball and how we formate our team during the non-possesive phase where we have to improve. I like the spirit and how everyone is sacrificing themselves, they help out, they run and give this team the strength that it needs. Banega? He has great technical skills, is very intelligent and knows how to move on the pitch. I have other players in that role and everybody has to be ready, but today he was great. Kondogbia? He’s working hard, is serious and positive although he has been left out of the squad. He has the right atttude that everybody else should learn from. Mercato? The club knows what to do.
