Through a post on Instagram, George Puscas congratulated the fans of Benevento after scoring the winning goal to clinch promotion to Serie A via the playoffs:

“I also wanted to write a few words to the whole year full of beautiful emotions that only football can produce. Because I do not want to write a novel … I just want to say THANK YOU! Your dream is also our dream. And it’s just the start.”
