Nagatomo Set For Permanent Galatasaray Transfer

Unless there are drastic changes in the coming months, the ‘see you soon’ from Japanese international Yuto Nagatomo to Inter was more of a ‘goodbye’ according to FCInterNews.it.

The full back has every intention of remaining at Galatasaray and discussions have already begun to turn his loan into a permanent deal. Nagatomo moved to Turkey this past January on a simple loan deal which was due to cost Gala €700,000, plus a €200,000 bonus if they won the Süper Lig or a €100,000 bonus for qualifying for the Champions League. This formula, however, is now a thing of the past.

Instead, the negotiations are focused on a definitive transfer for Nagatomo. The Turkish side are prepared to offer between €2-2.5million for the full back, as the player only has one year left on his contract with Inter. Once signed, the Japanese international will be offered a two-year deal with the option for a third.

From the point of view of the Nerazzurri, the team is building a team for the future and is looking for players with a different profile to that of Nagatomo. They will try to get the most out of the deal, but everything suggests that a deal will be done in the end. Final confirmations should arrive in May when the players agent Roberto Tukuda is due to arrive in Italy.
