In addition to Roma, Inter have enquired about former Sampdoria midfielder Bruno Fernandes. who recently terminated his contract with Portuguese giants, Sporting Lisbon.

Although the Nerazzurri like the player, Sky Sports reports that the Portguese player’s agents are requesting a fee deemed too high by the club.

The Portuguese international was one of a group of Sporting players who have left the club following an attack by fans at their training ground. Fernandes only moved to Lisbon at the start of this season, but scored 16 goals and delivered 20 assists in 56 appearances for the club. The versatile midfielder is no stranger to Serie A, having made 119 appearances in the colours of Udinese and, most recently, Sampdoria.

Ferndandes’ form for Sporting earned him a call up to Fernando Santos’ Portugal squad for the upcoming World Cup in Russia. The reigning European champions will begin their campaign on Friday against fierce rivals, Spain.
