With the arrival of Sime Vrsaljko on loan from Atletico Madrid, Inter’s squad for the 2018-19 season now boasts three of the players that took Croatia to the country’s first ever FIFA World Cup Final last month.
Vrsaljko has joined Ivan Perisic and Marcelo Brozovic on the black-and-blue half of Milan to increase the Nerazzurri’s Croatian quota to three, and the club celebrated the expansion of this contingent with a humorous tweet on Friday afternoon.
Will Inter end up with more than three Croatians on their books when the Italian transfer window shuts next week, though? Only time will tell…
