Real Madrid have reached an agreement in principle with Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara over a transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu according to Spanish radio station Onda Cero.
There is currently no agreement between the Spanish giants and Bayern Munich over Thiago, the brother of former Inter loanee Rafinha, but should Luka Modric be able to convince Los Blancos president Florentino Perez to allow him to leave, then an agreement should not be too hard to reach given it appears that Thiago is not in Bayern manager Niko Kovac’s plans for the coming season.
The news will still come as a welcome boost to Inter’s pursuit of Croatian international Modric no doubt as it would seem that Real Madrid are considering life without the 32-year-old by courting the €50 million rated Spaniard, who new manager Julen Lopetegui knows very well having coached him at various youth levels for Spain as well as with the full national team.
