Sime Vrsaljko completed his first training session as an Inter player on Friday after the conclusion of his post-World Cup summer holidays.
Vrsaljko and fellow Croatian international Ivan Perisic were the final two players due to return to preseason training after taking part in the World Cup Final on 15 July, and are highly unlikely to feature in the Nerazzurri’s friendly match against Atletico Madrid on Saturday.
However they will have eight days in which to build up their fitness in the hope of taking part in Inter’s first league game of the campaign on 18 August, which will be against Vrsaljko’s former club Sassuolo.
