Miranda has been left out of coach Tite’s latest squad of 24 players for the friendly matches in September against USA and El Salvador, in New Jersey and in Washington. There are two ‘Italians’, Juventus’ Alex Sandro and Douglas Costa.
According to ANSA and other sources Tite explains it is because he wants to experiment and this is proved by the fact that there are 11 new names compared to those who were called for the World Cup in Russia and as a result Joao Miranda remains at home.
Here is the squad:
Goalkeepers: Alisson (Liverpool), Neto (Valencia) and Hugo (Flamengo).
Defenders: Alex Sandro (Juventus), Dede (Cruzeiro), Fabinho (Liverpool), Fagner (Corinthians), Felipe (Porto), Filipe Luis (Atletico Madrid), Marquinhos and Thiago Silva (Psg).
Midfielders: Andreas Pereira and Fred (Manchester United), Arthur and Coutinho (Barcelona), Casemiro (Real Madrid), Paquetà (Flamengo), Renato Augusto (Beijing Guoan).
Forwards: Douglas Costa (Juventus), Everton (Gremio), Firmino (Liverpool), Neymar (Psg), Pedro (Fluminense), Willian (Chelsea).
