Rafinha Could’ve Come Back To Inter If It Hadn’t Been For A Good Pre-Season

Rafinha could have moved to Italy prior to the Italian transfer window shutting earlier if it had not been for a good pre-season according to a report from Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.

The Brazilian midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan at Inter and showed a keen desire to remain at the San Siro but his wishes were not granted by a financial fair play strapped Inter who once freed pursued and acquired others instead.

Rafinha’s future looked set to be away from Barcelona upon his return with the club looking to sell him and others to fund other moves but his performances in pre-season have convinced manager Ernesto Valverde to keep him around and count upon him, something evidenced by the 25-year-old’s inclusion in Barca’s squad to face Deportivo Alaves.

Whether Rafinha-Inter is something that resumes in years to come remains to be seen but for the time being his future is in and with Barcelona.
