60,000 Fans To Be At San Siro For Inter vs Torino

The defeat to Sassuolo has not put Interisti off and there will be some 60,000 in attendance when Inter have their first home game this Sunday against Torino according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

“The Nerazzurri crowd responded to the summer friendlies in the first round of the season, where the away end at the Mapei Stadium was completely packed with Inter fans with many Nerazzurri scarves in the stands.

The Champions League return brought new enthusiasm and the transfer market did the rest. A swallow does not make a spring and a defeat can not erase a feeling of ‘Love.’ On Sunday night there will be 60 thousand.”

The 60,000 expected crowd is just shy of 9000 better than Inter’s home opener last season where 51,752 attended as Inter got the 2017/18 season off to a perfect start with a 3-0 win over Fiorentina. The 60,000 is also better than Inter’s average attendance of 57,529 last season.
