Inter’s False Start Casts Doubt Over European Performances To Come

Tuttosport have looked at the Milan club’s failures to use the opening few weeks of the season where they have just one game per week as a spring board to help them later on in the season when they are playing in multiple competitions.

“The first three days, with a commitment per week, should have been the trampoline to store points in sight of the tour de force of the matches every three days, but Inter and Milan are failing in achieving that goal.

“The Nerazzurri have already played 180 minutes and have just one point to show for it without having faced any big sides within Serie A and have in front of them the Champions League, a competition that can not be taken for granted.

“It is no coincidence that in the programs of approach to the season, prepared at Pinetina, it was foreseen that they would get to 100% for the beginning of the Champions League and avoid a drop in performance in the second part of the league, like the one seen last year.”
