Joao Mario is looking even more likely to remain with Inter past Friday’s transfer deadline across Europe but it remains difficult to see him make the Champions League list as per a report from Tuttosport.
The Portuguese could still yet leave the Nerazzurri but it relies on Rafinha moving to Benfica over Real Betis which would see the Seville based club go back in for the 25-year-old, who they already have an agreement with over personal terms.
Several Turkish offers have arrived although the midfielder is unwilling to entertain them and only wishes to move to Betis if the opportunity presents itself.
If the opportunity does not arrive, Joao Mario will work on redeeming himself at Inter, at least until January when the transfer window will again open. He featured during pre-season and was also on the bench for the 2-2 draw with Torino on Sunday night which suggests manager Luciano Spalletti refuses to give up on him and freeze him out of his plans entirely.
