Inter manager Luciano Spalletti will be at a huge disadvantage to his managerial compatriots when it comes to naming his squad for this seasons Champions League.
This is due to the settlement agreement reached with UEFA with regard to financial fair play and rather than getting to name a full squad, Spalletti, in all likelihood will only be able to name a 19 man squad which means he will be tasked with having to exclude four players, Tuttosport detail.
Inter’s reserve goalkeeper Tomasso Berni tops the list of players likely to be excluded while it is widely also expected that Joao Mario and Dalbert will join him on the list of excluded players. The fourth and final name will be one of Antonio Candreva, Roberto Gagliardini and Matias Vecino.
The draw for this year’s edition of Europe’s top continental competition took place yesterday and saw Inter drawn in the same group as Barcelona, Tottenham Hotspur and PSV Eindhoven.
