Inter defender Sime Vrsaljko has called upon his Croatian national team teammates to put whatever’s happened individually for themselves in the early stages of the season behind them and be a team ahead of the match with Portugal.
“It was a pleasure to reunite with the teammates, Especially after the World Cup. Every thing I do with my teammates leads to the memories of the World Cup and this must act as a guide for the future,” he said in a press conference in which he sat alongside manager Zlatko Dalic.
Vrsaljko, who joined the Nerazzurri over the summer from Atletico Madrid on a loan with right to redemption basis, then spoke on the game itself.
“The most important thing for us is to be a team, regardless of the form at the beginning of the season. This of course will be a difficult match but I think we will do well.”
