Inter’s Ivan Perisic’s Unstoppable For Both Club & Country

“Torino, Bologna and Portugal: Ivan Perisic does not stop and in the wake of his star performance at the World Cup in Russia and continues to score and perform excellent.” Italian sports newspaper Tuttosport reports today explaining further: “Despite the excellent performance at the highest levels, the Croatian has not reached his top yet. Perisic is now the player who delivers most consistently despite that he is loved by Luciano Spalletti who never left him out of the team last season where he played 39 of the 40 games, 38 in the Serie A and 1 game in Coppa Italia – the one he was out of the squad was due to a shoulder injury – missing only the Coppa Italia game against Pordonone and aside from that he was substituted only three times.”

“If Perisic was untouchable last season it is important to understand how Inter coach Luciano Spalletti will think now that he has players like Politano and Keita at his disposal. With the UCL this year, we might see the Croatian rested in some matches, but for sure Spalletti will have it tough without the qualities of Ivan. Already at the end of last season Spalletti started to change his role a bit, from trequartista to a winger, at a time when Inter needed results. Perisic is ready for whatever role he will be assigned and he is determined to score, because now no one can stop him.”
