Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic stopped by Inter TV to share his analysis of the heave defeat at home at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza against Parma.
The Slovenian shot stopper analyzed the match saying that: “We attacked throughout the entire match, without managing to score and then we conceded. We have to do more in front of goal, everything would have been different if we had scored but this is football and on Tuesday we will have another chance. We need to find the fire inside ourselves to overcome this moment. We reaped far less than we had sown but I don’t believe in chance. We have to reset immediately. We all want to win and to do something more but we have to take notice.
The former Udinese goalkeeper was asked if he was obstructed when Dimarco scored his goal to which he replied: “I didn’t see the shot take off, I had a Parma player in front of me, so for me the goal should not have stood. I have nothing more to say, we are not looking for excuses but those who are up there have to see what is happening. Also, we should have had a clear penalty which we didn’t get.
In conclusion Handanovic spoke about Tuesday’s fixture against Tottenham in the Champions League stating that: “I don’t know what emotions I will feel against Tottenham in the Champions League, we will see. They are one of the top teams in the competition so we have to prepare ourselves well.”
