Mauro Icardi, Ivan Perisic and Marcelo Brozovic will be central to getting Inter out of their current rut of form in the eyes of Gazzetta dello Sport and the trio must bounce back from poor performances against Parma.
Icardi has endured a dry spell in front of goal so far this season but if history is anything to go by goals will be on their way and will be plentiful. At the weekend against Parma he however struggled having come off the bench. He completed just three passes and managed just two shots at goal.
Perisic too struggled as Inter fell 1-0 to the newly promoted Ducali. He lost the ball on no less than 24 separate occasions and of his eight shots at goal, only two were on target. However, ‘Ivan The Terrible’ could be out to play tomorrow night as he comes up against Kieran Trippier again as Inter welcome Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League.
As for Brozovic, he excelled in breaking up play, making 12 interceptions but failed to have much of an impact going forward.
