The main doubt for Inter coach Luciano Spalletti ahead of tonight’s Champions League clash at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district against Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur, concerns the Nerazzurri defence.

More specifically whether or not to play with a three or four man defence, something that became an issue during the Serie A clash against Parma this past weekend when Danilo D’Ambrosio came off injured. However, Sky Sport Italia report that the chances to see the former Torino man from start have increased after tests conducted this morning where positive leading the Nerazzurri to now be carefully optimistic regarding the full-back’s participation in the match.

Should D’Ambrosio start Inter coach Spalletti will continue with the 4-2-3-1 formation which also means that Antonio Candreva will be benched and instead summer signing Matteo Politano will start on the right wing and that Brazilian central defender Joao Miranda will sit on the bench yet again as Milan Skriniar will continue to form a partnership with Stefan de Vrij at the heart of defence.
