Inter Coach Spalletti To Go For A Three Man Defence Against Tottenham

The Italian press all agree that Inter coach Luciano Spalletti will decide to go for a three man defence against Tottenham as Milano-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport also predicts a 3-4-2-1.

The Gazzetta previews tonight’s UEFA Champions League clash between Inter and English Premier League side Tottenham and reports that Milan Skriniar will play in a three-and-a-half man defense where the Slovakian defender will have to alternate between the central third position and the unusual right fullback position.

The Gazzetta reports that: “This way of forming the team is of course due to the injury of Danilo D’Ambrosio which has forced Inter coach Luciano Spalletti to shuffle the cards. Brazilian defender Joao Miranda is fully recuperated after spending lot of time on the bench after the first game’s negative result against Sassuolo. The other choices are Politano on the bench, Candreva most likely to start, Ivan Perisic a regular as usual, although he was missing during yesterday’s practice, a normal procedure after the game against Parma.”

Inter’s Probable line-up as per Gazzetta dello Sport:

Inter (3-4-2-1): Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Miranda; Candreva, Vecino, Brozovic, Asamoah; Nainggolan, Perisic; Icardi.
