FIFA agent Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Bozzo has spoken on Inter’s failed attempt to land Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric over the summer and possibility of the negotiations re-opening.
“In my opinion it is impossible but the market is the thing that decides everything, but at the moment I think it is not viable,” he told CalcioMercato.com.
Bozzo then also spoke on whether or not Inter should have had a back-up plan to Modric.
“I can not say that a club that has a very serious and well prepared management is wrong or not, these are internal matters, maybe they do not need a plan B. After all, if you sign Modric, any alternative plan becomes plan F rather than B. Maybe it’s not worth having one at all. Modric is an absolute champion like Cristiano Ronaldo and any other player would have been too far away, the same thing would have happened to Juventus if they did not buy CR7.”
