Former Inter owner and president Massimo Moratti is of the opinion that Inter will not be in for an easy ride when they welcome Cagliari to the San Siro on Saturday night.

“I saw the Sardinians at home against Sampdoria and they are a good team. They have the means to hurt Inter and there are some excellent players in the team that follow everything that the coach dictates,” Moratti said in an interview with Calcio Casteddu.

Moratti then spoke on current Cagliari president Tomasso Giuilini and was highly complimentary of the former Inter board of directors member, who served the Nerazzurri between 2005 and 2013.

“He oozes professionalism and passion and has immediately settled himself in the role and shows an attachment to the shirt,” he concluded.

Moratti served as Inter owner and president for just shy of 20 years between 1995 and 2013 before Indonesian tycoon Erick Thohir came in and bought a majority stake in the Nerazzurri.
