Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has spoken on youth development as part of an interview with Inter TV remember Inter’s legendary scout Pierluigi Casiraghi.

“The growth of a player comes down to how they do in training with their teammates. It is always said that training with good players helps a player improve, because the quality is higher and you can learn their tricks. This allows players to improve on a technical and mental level.”

Ausilio proceeded to document how the academy as it is today came to being like it is.

“At Inter we believe in our youth academy. Moratti started the work and the academy has developed through investments, the choice of players, the enhancement of facilities, the search for the best coaches and the best management for the youth sector, which has always characterised the work of Inter from Moratti to Thohir and today with Suning.

“Many of those who have had the good fortune of being in our academy can go out and be a protagonist for a club whether that be in Italy or abroad.”
