Mauro Icardi’s wife and agent Wanda Nara has reaffirmed her husband’s commitment to the Nerazzurri cause amid ongoing reports that he is set to sign a new contract with the club.

“Staying at one club for a long time is an added value. Mauro’s choice has always been to stay at Inter and the fans recognise this. People appreciate the fact that Mauro has always decided to stay to become a reference as he someone like Javier Zanetti done for example,” she explained in an interview on Canale 5 show Pressing.

“Mauro has a personality that has led him to be the captain of an important team like Inter at a very young age and the criticisms do not scare him.”

She proceeded to tip her husband and Paulo Dybala to lead the line for Argentina in the future.

“In Argentina, Dybala is seen as a champion. He played a few minutes with Mauro in the last match for the Argentinian national team and they did well. He and Icardi will be the starting pair in the future.”
