Following his sides second consecutive come from behind victory in the Champions League, Inter manager Luciano Spalletti spoke briefly to a group of journalists and answered the following questions.

You did not make any substitutions until the very end – was that a sign that the team was performing well?
Preparation for tonight began during the past two matches, and the decisions we made allowed us to have a team tonight which was physically capable of playing the right way. This is why you saw the same team on the field till (almost) the very end.

What did you make of Mauro Icardi’s performance tonight?

Mauro played a fantastic game, not just because he scored another goal. He did well to close down their midfielders in the centre of the pitch. The goals always make a difference, but he always offered a strong presence in the penalty area and was unlucky with a couple of other chances. Mauro has no clear weaknesses, but it is clear that when he participates in the build up he becomes a complete striker.

With six points from six, how do you see Inter’s chances in the group?

We have been absent from the Champions League for seven years, and now our fans have the chance to enjoy it once again. We must not disappoint them.
