Radja Nainggolan is confident Inter have what it takes to beat Barcelona when they meet in the Champions League at the end of the month.
Nainggolan scored the equalising goal on Wednesday as the Nerazzurri came from behind to defeat PSV Eindhoven at the Philips Stadion, placing Luciano Spalletti’s side level on points at the top of Group B alongside the Catalan outfit.
And the Belgian believes Inter should approach the upcoming match at the Camp Nou without fear.
“Last year with Roma we proved that you can beat them,” he was quoted as saying in Tuttosport today.
“Inter should go to Spain feeling very calm as we only need to beat PSV and do something special in London [against Tottenham] to secure qualification for the last 16.”
Nainggolan also provided an update on his fitness levels, as he continues to recover from the injury which saw him miss the start of the season, as well as describing his international career with Belgium as “completely over.”
“I feel better now but I’m still not fully fit. I’m trying to add some experience to this team though.
“I’m completely out of the picture with the national team, but I think I’ve made the right decision. I can’t keep waiting forever and my mind is very clear.”
