Matteo Politano’s former manager at Sassuolo Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Iachini has tipped him to become a very important player in an interview with Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

“Matteo is very strong technically and is not too bad physically but like all young players he has to complete his maturation path and must completely absorb the climate of a large team like Inter. In the last few games I saw him play he has done well. He will become a very important player, with a lot of quality and personality.”

Iachini proceeded to share his thoughts on the Serie A season so far.

“It has been fascinating as always. Juventus remain a world apart from the rest and I hope this is a good year for them.

“Behind them I see Carlo Ancelotti’s Napoli who are expressing themselves across the field and not only through a select few players. A step under Napoli are Inter, Roma and Milan. As for relegation, I think the fight against it will involve 7-8 teams.”
