Legendary Inter President Massimo Moratti was interviewed by Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia about the upcoming derby della Madonnina at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district on Sunday 21st of October with kick-off scheduled for 20.30 CET.
The former Nerazzurri supremo looked back at derby matches during his reign stating that: “I have won a lot of derbies, the last ones with Mourinho were very interesting and we won them in a very good way.”
Moratti continued talking about one derby win in particular, namely the return leg derby on January 24th 2010 during the magical treble winning year stating that: “I remember the one where Wesley Sneijder was sent off in the first half, followed by Pandev’s 2-0 in the second half. It was fantastic.”
In that match Diego Milito broke the deadlock in the first half before Goran Pandev scored the second on a free kick after having struck the post moments before.
