Milan Skriniar did not have the best of nights in last night’s defeat to Barcelona and Gazzetta dello Sport have reflected upon his performance.
“Barcelona were prepared to spend big money on him and if this match was like an audition for him he will have to certainly have a second audition. It was not a performance from the Slovak wall that fans have become accustomed to and Inter manager Luciano Spalletti wanted more from him.
“Skriniar was late to react to the ball in to the box for the first goal that was put in by former teammate Rafinha. The Slovak was also at fault for the second goal as he allowed Jordi Alba to go past him and score. It was not an evening to remember.”
The Milan based newspaper also discussed his booking.
“He was booked for a foul on Luis Suarez just outside the box which in all reality was just a simple shoulder barge.”
