Inter Manager Spalletti: “We Will Do Things Differently In The Next Match Against Barcelona”

Inter manager Luciano Spalletti has revealed his side will do things differently in the reverse fixture following a 2-0 loss to Barcelona in the Champions League last night.

“Victories are good but it is the defeats that help you to grow most. In the first half the team performed below their capabilities and it bothered me,” he stressed in an interview with Inter TV.

“Each time we recovered the ball we did not make it our own. They pressed on us and they had an easy life, they saw that we were hesitant in the game and we wasted a lot of energy to put ourselves in the right position tactically.

“All this gave Barcelona an advantage over us. I am convinced that in the next game we will be able to do things differently. We should not hope to go to play looking for lucky breaks or hope to play poor teams after a draw.”

Spalletti went on to conclude the interview by speaking on the group standings.

“If you look at the standings it is still good for us.”
