Ahead of the matches against Olympique Marseille and Inter, Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi gave his views in a press conference,

The Biancocelesti coach stated that “We want to play on a par with Inter, even if they were built to challenge for the league title, unlike us. There are difficulties but we want to get closer to them, with our ideas, with our strengths and with our new signings, which have been excellent, we want to play on equal terms.”

“Inter and Marseille may have done even better in terms of purchases, but we want to continue to grow. With regards to the match against Marseille, last year we would have met them in the semi-final if we had not lost against Salzburg” Inzaghi continued.

Inter travel to the Olimpico on Monday evening for the Serie A week ten match against Lazio in a repeat of the infamous night in May which secured Champions League football for the Nerazzurri with Vecino’s late headed goal.
