Former Juventus director Giuseppe Marotta is on the verge of joining Inter at least according to a report from TuttoMercatoWeb.
“Giuseppe Marotta is one step away from becoming a new Inter executive. The goodbye, sanctioned by an official statement on the Juventus website, is further accelerating the timing of a negotiation that from the embryonic stage (the day after the victory against Napoli of the bianconeri) has turned, with a blaze, into a fire,” their report on the matter reads.
Ever since the shock announcement that he would be leaving the club broke, Inter have been inextricably linked with the man who played a huge part in Juventus’ dominance of Italian football over the past seven years.
With the Nerazzurri already having the positions of chief executive, chief of football operations and sporting director filled, it is as yet unclear what kind of role Marotta would fulfil at the club if the move were to come to fruition.
