Antonio Cassano has announced plans to remain in football following his recent retirement from the playing side of things.
“Once retired I would like to do something else such as being a scout or sporting director. Piero Ausilio of Inter and Giovanni Rossi of Sassuolo are two examples I could follow,” he said in an interview with Il Secolo XIX.
“I can not know if I would be any good at it or not as I have never done it but I would like to help build a project at the club.”
“I will re-enrol on the next course at Coverciano, and this time I will participate. After that, it is clear I will have to find someone who has faith in me. Would I work at Sampdoria again? Yes, absolutely.”
As part of the interview he also spoke on Inter club captain Mauro Icardi and whether he would have made the Inter starting eleven roughly 20 years ago.
“If Icardi had been at Inter in 1999 he would have been behind Ronaldo and Vieri, would he have played?”
